Easy to access with code, big gym, spacious with lots of equipment. I liked that there were a few spacious areas where you could do your own workouts if you wanted to.

Today someone stole my jacket from the locker room. I have heard many such stories and opinions, but this was the first time it happened to me.

One of the worst gym I’ve ever been so far. First of all why people are allowed walking with socks on and leaving their shoes on the floor. Second I’m fine with people recording in gym but in this gym there were two couples record with massive tripod in my way and didn’t even ask if I’m fine with it. Third bags were on the floor blocking everyone’s way. Never going back. More...

I would give 5 stars because it is a decent gym but the water under the shower is just too cold for me

For Southampton, I believe this gym wins in terms of equipment and facilities as well as classes. Other gyms don’t have many classes if you like that. I also provides with the premium membership a cool chair for a massage. It doesn’t have a swimming pool or aqua gym classes, or any of these advantages that you might see in gyms in other cities but neither do most gyms in this city. You will find what you need and it’s open 24 seven which is very important. It’s right next to the station. It costs a few pounds more compared to The Gym Group. Bathrooms are equipped with supplies even straighteners for women. More...

Decent gym, reasonably well equipped unless your looking for very specific equipment. Showers are terrible, usually either cold in winter or heated to the temperature of the sun during summer, if they are even working which is rare....

Good gym in general plenty of equipment to use. Rather cramped at busy times Showers seem to break every 3 or so months and at the moment are freezing cold which is not good if you want a shower after a sweaty workout

Will take your money and lack on maintenance. Showers cold, equipment out of order for weeks. Locker room people leave locks on lockers for weeks. Used to be a lot better.

Having just joined PureGym with a multi-gym pass, I decided to visit the Southampton one. It doesn't matter what time of day you go, it's always rammed and there is a constant wait for using equipment which isn't ideal when you have a set plan. The hydromassage is a great addition to the gym experience though so that was one positive More...

Gym going down hill, been here member 8 plus years here. Management are non existent and unfriendly, which is a shame as was one of the better gyms before. Yanga water never has any flavour in any of the 6 options most of the time and you ask about it to get moans and groans from manager. Machines broken and left for ages, showers are worst ever, either broken, cold water or dirty in general. Hair dryers are temperamental. I have membership at bitterne too which is much better just a bit far from me as work close to this one. It’s a shame now as management have dropped standards in one of the better gyms in Southampton. More...

Been going to this gym for few years now and have seen the downfall of the management here, have told managers for the last few weeks that the yanga water which I pay for has no flavour as they are to lazy to refill the liquid, the male manager rudely says that I am just trying to get free drinks rather then being helpful when I am paying for this service. Machines are out of order for weeks and don’t get fixed, water pressure in the showers are always low and cold water. Overall bad experience since the last manager has left for the last few months More...

It was my first time at any PureGym, and I was very impressed. I bought a day pass for £7.99, did a morning session, went to work, then a teatime session after. Perfect when working away from my home gym. Highly recommend. More...

A gym that opens 24 hours a day where at 11:28 pm you go to use the bathroom and the employee is prohibited from doing so. where it says it is closed. But in this scenario, where do we meet our needs? Would it be a salon? The worst part wasn't being able to use the employee's lack of education when reprimanding them regarding use. More...

Men's changing room hand dryer hasn't been working since I joined 3 months ago. The only water fountain in the gym hasn't been working for the past week or two. Unacceptable. You'd think in a gym the staff would be more disciplined to upkeep basic facilities. Other than that it's okay. Only two press benches which is little for a gym this size but rest of the equipment is fine. More...

I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that in one week my headphones and perfume were stolen if someone could not afford it, let him go to work and earn and not steal who works to have a bottle of perfume had a specific flaw, so it's better for you if I don’t see not to see them in someone's headphones I will also recognise them. It's really sad that there are such people in such places…😡😡😡 More...

Have been to a number of puregyms across the country and this has by far been my favourite. Good size, nice people. Go after 7:30pm and it’s not too busy. If you avoid between 5-7 then it’s never too busy I found :) good selection of equipment and it’s all decent quality too More...

Showers have been broken for months now. Sometimes all of them, sometimes half of them. Water temperatures often too cool. Shower stalls don't smell fresh, either. Also there are a lot of lockers in the men's changing room with the same locks on them for months, obviously never removed and no one is policing the no overnight policy. A shame, because otherwise a pleasant enough gym with reasonable equipment, but it feels like the management has given up trying here. More...

Mediocre gym with old and badly maintained machines that are out of order all the time. On top of that and the equipment like the seats of machines and grips break regularly. Had no hot water in showers for months. Whole top floor shakes if someone drops a 10kg dumbbell. Overall the best thing about the gym is the location. More...

The gym facilities could do with expanding as there's not a great deal of room if 4 or 5 people show up with a similar routine you can get in each others way a little but I like the place I'm progressing well with the equipment currently on offer I just try timing my session so its a little quieter

What do you love most about your job?
The moment when clients realise they actually can do it.
I'm somebody who was once upon a time out of shape, unhealthy and uncomfortable in my own body so I know what it feels like when you're at that low point in life. On the other hand I know how it feels to achieve something new everyday, no matter how small it is. I know what it feels like to constantly push myself mentally and physically. I understand that anything you want will never be easy but that shows the difference in character, the person who's willing to give it all vs those who just say they want it.
Being able to get others to think the same way and adopt a positive attitude towards fitness if the most fulfilling part of my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The thought of becoming better and progressing inspired me.
Why should our clients choose you?
My aim is to help you become the best version of yourself.
