My reason for only 4 stars is that technically my actual request couldn’t be met, it involved a bit of change from me and fortunately I have work flex to do that.
Otherwise the after school care is perfect, my children look forward weekly to seeing her and we are so far very happy with how we’ve made things work.

How long have you been in business?
Extra Help was originally set up in 2011 to respond to the needs of home help for elderly people who were still living independently and needed a helping hand. We recognised that many elderly people didn’t necessarily need a full-time or live-in carer, but having help with domestic tasks could significantly prolong the time that they were able to stay in their own homes. And sometimes, it’s just about providing company; a friendly smile and a small chat which could mean the world to someone who lives alone.
Since launching, we have expanded our range of services to include mother’s help and domestic cleaning services. This enables us to provide ad-hoc or regular assistance to new and working parents, working professionals and just about anyone who needs us. We can help with all sorts of domestic tasks and nothing is too much trouble.
We have been operating in Maidenhead & Windsor (also covering Ascot & Marlow) since summer 2018.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
We use your own products and equipment to prevent any cross-contamination or allergy concerns. As well as giving you choice and control over the products used in your home.
What do you love most about your job?
I wish I had had the support of Extra Help® when I was looking for good quality care for my relative and juggling a full time career as a busy working parent. One of my children is autistic and there’s always so much to do to ensure you’re spinning all the plates effectively. The support of Extra Help® would have given me that reassurance and a helping hand when I needed it the most! I am delighted to be able to provide this service to others who need it in my local community.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was ready to invest my skills, passion for care, time and commitment into working for myself and giving back to my local community. Running my own business with the guidance and expertise of Extra Help® has supported me in using the brand as a platform to meet my aspirations on many levels as a business owner

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow government guidelines for “Working in peoples homes”. This includes face coverings and social distancing.
