We used Ewemove Shrewsbury to sell my late Dad's bungalow. Initially it looked like they weren't going to have to do much as one of Dad's friends said he wanted to buy the house almost as soon as it was on the market. Unfortunately, that sale fell through and then Greg did a storming job of getting something like a dozen prospective purchasers through the door on the first weekend, one of whom has just completed on the purchase. Greg and Bev were really on the ball. In our relatively limited experience of buying and selling houses, most of the professionals involved only seem to do things when you phone them so it was great to deal with people who were proactive. Currently having problems with a tenant of the Yeovil branch constantly blocking me in when he returns home. I’ve contacted the Yeovil branch twice and the last time the tenant moved his vehicle, he had parked fully across someone else’s driveway preventing anyone from parking on the drive, and parked it blocking another residents driveway by 1/3. The Yeovil branch have no respect for any of the neighbours around the property they are renting. The tenants are in unapproachable especially the female as she gets angry extremely quickly and doesn’t allow the man to move any of their vehicles. I am currently blocked in by the male tenant. On his return there were at least 9 empty spaces in the residents car park. It seems the youngsters have an immature need to park as close to the property as possible, without any respect, care or compassion to the surrounding residents who have lived on the street for years. If you want landlords that only care about their financial gain, it seems this is the agency! More...

I sent a request to view one of their properties. I was never contacted about viewing the property but received a couple of texts and emails confirming appointments to view the property with dates/times I never agreed to. One of these included information (email address) of another person interested in viewing the property- which is a clear breach of GDPR. I texted, emailed, and tried to call the agency and heard nothing until receiving a text message that if there are no applications I can view the property - never heard anything from them again. I received no apology for the confusing communications nor anything regarding the GDPR breach. I certainly won't be using this agency to view a property, let alone rent through them. More...

We recently purchased a house via Ewemove Swindon branch and Jade Matthews was absolutely wonderful. We did not feel rushed or pressured at all while we looked around the house but at the same time it was obvious Jade had take the time to get to know the owner and the property to provide an informative tour. We have recently sold our property in Rawcliffe. Chloe was very professional from start to finish. She has amazing knowledge of Rawcliffe and all the surrounding area. We got a detailed assessment of the property and the suggested selling price. The quote was very reasonable and the property was on the market within the week. Pleased to say our property sold within a week. The price we accepted was the top end of what we were hoping for. Chloe was great at keeping us informed and the sale took less than ten weeks. William (Wakefield branch) was well informed on the property, very friendly and really helpful throughout booking the viewing to after viewing and checking in. My wife and I visited a property in Rawcliffe, York. Our appointment was for 10.45am. Due to traffic we ran a bit late and informed the sales agent, Chloe. When we reached the property, the first thing Chloe told us at the entrance, with the door open was that we had only "5mins" to view. She also said "it will be an in and out thing". She spoke to us in an OFFENSIVELY IMPOLITE MANNER AND WAS BLATANTLY RUDE. She LITERALLY RUSHED our viewing in 5mins. She treated us like she was DOING US A FAVOR. This property is on sale for £450,000 and yet she showed it us like a POUNDLAND SHOP. Chloe is shamelessly damaging the reputation of Ewe Move and doing a disservice to the owners of this property. While leaving, she must have had a rethink and invited us for a second viewing. We are definitely declining this second invitation. I reported damp in my rented house in Brighton back in July 2023 and mould in my bedroom, kitchen and my daughter's bathroom in August. This was clearly caused by a roof leak. EweMove acting as agents didn't fix the leaky roof until January by which time my house was full of mould including black mould, the walls were sodden and considerable damage had been done to the house. It is now the beginning of March, the walls are still mouldy (despite my repeated attempts to clean them) and they won't send professional cleaners around to remove the mould despite the obvious health risks to my family. I am only asking for the walls to be cleaned so the house is safe and habitable until they can repair and replaster the walls. They have shown no urgency to resolve the issue and this has caused risks to my health and damage to the house which was avoidable. At every stage I have tried to resolve this patiently and amicably but feel I have no choice now but to write this review. Such a pity because I had given them a five star review back in 2022. We cannot recommend Liam enough! He went above and beyond to make sure that our house sale and onward purchase went through as quickly as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and he was always at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had (which were a lot!!). We had a baby in the middle of selling our house and he made things so much less stressful than they could have been. He even brought us brownies when things were getting a little too much! We had a target completion date of July due to not being able to get the house deposit out of our isa until then, so we made an offer on a house with Liam in Hyde on a house we liked. We explained our situation, and that it may only add 2-4 weeks on to the average house buying process anyway which we made very clear in our offer that we can do everything other than exchange contracts until July . We got a call from Liam saying congrats our offer has been accepted, so we double checked that the seller is happy to wait and he said yes. As first time buyers we were over the moon to have our offer accepted! So we instructed solicitors, started getting quotes for surveyors, informed our mortgage advisor and booked a mortgage application appointment. In the week after having our offer accepted, we had to chase and chase to get written confirmation of our offer acceptance, and strangely it was not taken off their website, just Rightmove and Zoopla. Exactly 1 week from having our offer accepted we got a call from Liam saying the seller can not wait until July. This is incredibly infuriating as we outlined our conditions in the offer and double checked it, so believe that our offer shouldn’t have been accepted if the seller was not sure they could wait. I also believe that Liam should have managed the process better and made sure of this too. The house went back on the market and has since been listed as sold stc again, but this time they’ve taken it off the website. This leads me to believe that they were never actually sure that they could wait for us until July, and carried on taking viewings from the website even though we asked that they cancelled any viewings. The house went back up on Monday and sold by Wednesday morning so they clearly had someone else lined up, which we still don’t know the details of as we were told all viewings had been cancelled. Some communication from Liam over this was absolutely essential - even if it was to tell us that the seller was unsure or did not have a definite answer and there was a risk that they may need to complete sooner - which we would have understood, yet we did not receive. We feel blindsided by this to be honest, and would have absolutely understood if they could not wait. As we have made an offer on a different house before this one which was rejected due to the time frame, but they were upfront and honest about it. But with ewemove, to have our offer accepted, and then receive no other communication on the sellers situation is really unfair, dishonest and absolutely not professional. I’m really unhappy with the communication with this and it feels like salt has been rubbed in the wounds the fact that the house has been taken off the ewemove website for the new buyers.
