EVOLVE INTERIORS STUDIO . . .
. . . is headed by me, SBID Associate Kate Barlow, an alumni of (and now a Visiting Tutor at) KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour who cut my interior teeth on high-end residential projects whilst working with top London designers Joanna Wood and Taylor Howes Design, before heading out to New Zealand for 3 years where a more practical, hands-on and dynamic approach was required at Wall Street Designs, a leading Wellington showroom and consultancy.

What’s your interior design process?
It’s most definitely a team effort! It’s your home, so I work with you to find the style that suits you, with a little nudging out of your comfort zone occasionally ?
We start with a face to face consultation, and work through creating design concepts, followed by design development & sourcing, with the final piece of the jigsaw being the installation & project coordination, if you want that too.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Across the board, from traditional to contemporary & modern, eclectic to neutral. We don’t believe in a “house-style” approach.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety - no two days are the same - and the chance to work creatively with a wide range of people, from great clients to amazing contractors.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I find that to be properly creative I need freedom, and running my own business really does deliver that for me!
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been very fortunate to have learned the interior design industry from some great people, and I now use those principles of design and customer service in my own practice, whatever the budget!
