Evergreen

Asked Guy for a quote to extend my patio in back garden and gravel the remaining area. I also asked for a strip of grass to be removed from my front garden. The quote was reasonable so I decided to go with Evergreen Balerno and paid a deposit of 50% of the quote price. I then got a message saying that there would be an additional charge for the skip of £100. I pointed out that the skip was included in the quote. Guy apologised for his mistake but then said that the gravel had not been included in the quote so charged an additional £200 + vat. I was surprised at this amount as there was only a small area to be gravelled but as I wanted the garden done agreed to the additional £240.

My garden was done approx. 4 weeks later. the two men took 1.5 days to complete my garden and made a great job. Although the gravel board to stop the gravel falling into my neighbours garden was not on the van so couldn't be fitted and the strip of grass in the front garden was not removed. The workmen didn't have time to do the work. I contacted Guy and he promised to honour his promise so I paid the final amount. He didn't. The work in my garden took 1.5 days however the skip had been put in my neighbours parking space and was left there for 2 weeks even though I had messaged Guy on a number of occasions to get it removed. Just as well I have good neighbours who had to park his car elsewhere.

I have no complaints with the quality of the work. My problems were with Guy who didn't seem to interested as this was a small job as he kept saying. I have had to fit a gravel board myself and remove the strip of grass in the front garden myself.

Would I use Evergreen Balerno again definitely not. Would I recommend Evergreen Balerno No. More...

5 stars We had Evergreen Balerno design and build a full front and back garden landscaping project. This involved demolition of an old brick shed, the garage, part of a wall and a full tarmac drive. The new garden is pretty much exactly what we asked for (a couple of design enhancements as we went on). We are very happy with the result and the team that worked on it. They worked really hard and exceeded my expectations for quality of work and speed. I would recommend Evergreen without hesitation. My mum used Guy and his team to construct a patio which involved removing two huge flower beds. Guy and his team were understanding of exactly what she wanted and used his experience and expertise to maximise the potential of the garden patio.
The job turned out to be much bigger than anticipated and unexpected problems were encountered including numerous granite boulders. His team were not phased by this and tackled the problem head on. They were extremely hard working, had a great sense of humour all while maintaining a very professional work ethic The end result was better than she had ever anticipated and the patio blended in perfectly to the cottage theme that already existed in the garden .
She would have absolutely have no hesitation in recommending the company and she thanks them again for such a fantastic job . They have transformed the garden
