I have been having lessons with Janis for nearly two years.
Currently I am getting ready to sit the CAE (C1) exam. She is a highly experienced teacher and has helped me to develop my English skills in every aspect of the language, making sure that I am well and thoroughly prepared.
She has a lot of expertise in teaching Cambridge exams.
The lessons are interesting, never monotonous, as Janis always prepares a variety of exercises to keep me occupied with different types of activities: for example, speaking practice, listening comprehension, grammar or vocabulary and mini quizzes.
The work is usually forwarded to me via email or messages on WhatsApp. Currently, due to the pandemic we continue our classes via Skype. These work well.
I have to add that my teacher is very knowledgeable about Business English as well and I benefit from her knowledge a lot. She helped me several times with my application forms and preparation for job interviews.
On top of that Janis is a very reliable, understanding and patience person.
I have years of teaching experience myself, so I can recognise a good teacher.
I can highly recommend her.

I contacted Janis Abson language tutor in January 2020, because I would like to take an IELTS exam, I want to get an IELTS Certificate.
We talk about a wide variety of different topics. She develops my vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation. My speaking, listening, reading, and writing practice skills are improving step by step because my work schedule is bit busy. But I enjoy my job and my study time with Janis.
She is very kind and friendly, entertaining the learning with her, It's a good leisure time.

I have several years of experience teaching business people how to improve their work experience by improving their English in the workplace. This could be negotiating skills, chairing meetings, sales pitches and tenders, writing financial quotes or financial reports. The lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual and what goals they wish to achieve.

A course designed to help a student fully prepare for the level B2 exam. Focus is on speaking, listening, reading and writing with past exams papers used to give the student the best chance. All lessons are online and on Zoom
