I took the 4 week intensive CELTA course at English Language House in July. Although it was one of the most challenging things I have ever done, I believe it’s the best decision I ever made in developing myself professionally. English Language House provided engaging and insightful input sessions with many helpful resources. The tutors were always supportive and inspiring, which made the course very enjoyable despite the long hours of lesson planning and written assignments. The course is extremely demanding, but if you’re planning on taking the CELTA I definitely recommend doing it at English Language House. I cannot thank my tutors enough for the great experience. What do you love most about your job?
I very much to see students make progress and quickly achieve their English Language skills.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I live and work in Milton Keynes and I am a professional English teacher with many years experience teaching English to foreign students and preparing students for exams such as the Cambridge CAE, CPE, IELTS, and TOEFL. I used to teach for the British Council abroad and also worked as an examiner for the Cambridge and IELTS exams.
When I moved to Milton Keynes in 1990 there were not many places to work for someone with my background, qualifications and experience so I devided to start offering English Language lessons to foreign students and that’s how Elh started.
