She is very professional and very nice 😊

I've been taking virtual lessons as a complete beginner twice a week with Elize since March. She's been brilliant. Always clear in her explanations and demonstrations, always well prepared for our lessons and always flexible when I need to move classes around. On top of all that, her lessons are excellent value too! I look forward to continuing to take lessons with her and highly recommend you too do! More...
What do you love most about your job?
Learning new things. I love to learn from others as much as I love to teach.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've accumulated a lot of knowledge from some of the greatest cello minds in the world. I wish to pass it on.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm great at what I do and the results speak for themselves.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can do online lessons up to an advanced level (after that, sound quality might be an issue through a medium) and I can easily do theory lessons online.
Cello Lessons
I've been teaching professionally for 8 years now and studied for 22 years. I have two degrees in cello performance (including a postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Music) and a bachelor's in cello education.
I keep learning new things through my students so I highly enjoy my work.
I've taught ages 3.5 to 66.
Piano lessons
I studied piano from the age of 8 all the way till the end of my bachelor's. It's one of the most important instruments to learn and is extremely flexible so I take joy in teaching it. I find the piano a necessity for understanding music theory and the basics of chord making - as well as one of the most well-rounded instruments of all time.
I've taught a wide range of ages and feel very confident that together we'll reach any piano goals.
Music Theory
The understanding of form and harmony is necesarry to perform a piece to it's best potential and understand the subtle musical gestures.
Music is a language and has dialects and certain rules. I find it really exciting to teach and talk about all the aspects of music theory (such as aural, harmony, instrumentation, structure, polyphony, etc.) so I've been teaching this from a beginner level up to HIgher Education level.
Let me know if you'd like a lesson!
