Fantastic service and care for Peter bunny who had genetically over grown teeth. Successful urgent surgery and care by staff that has left bunny happier and healthier than before. For the last 3 months, Chris has been looking after our beloved cat Sooty. He has worked with us to diagnose and treat a complex illness and every step of the way he has shown nothing but kindness and humility not only to us but most importantly to Sooty. He has treated him as though Sooty was his own which is incredibly precious when your pets are so vulnerable. After watching Sooty struggle over the last few days, we sadly had to take the decision to have him put to sleep last night and we are all still hurting. I cannot day enough though about Chris and his lovely wife who were so kind to me during our frequent visits which often kept Chris after hours without complaint. Please may you thank the lovely Vets that came out to our home yesterday from Maple street surgery. Two young ladies that made an extremely hard time that bit easier with their understanding, care and patience with something that i can imagine is as hard for them to have to do as it is for us having to ask them to. My Mum and I said afterwards that it really made a difference having two lovely people there at that time. Didn’t catch their names but it was booked for 4pm. Used Donaldson’s for years at Maple St, Thongsbridge & Shepley . Always found them to be friendly, approachable , professional . They have treated all our dogs 2 Labs, a Golden Retriever and they have all lived to over 13 . We have another Lab now - luckily no problems apart from yearly check ups & worming. Donaldson’s are amazing they go above and beyond are so caring kind and understanding- I couldn’t recommend them enough. Our baby boy is currently under their care and has been a week now and the care he has received along with the love and cuddles he gets all the time has reassured us so much. We are kept updated twice daily and he is getting the best possible treatment. I couldn’t recommend them enough and certainly would never ever use a different vets. Ellie was caring for stitch first and was brilliant we asked for Martin to take over his care as he was recommended to us having been a vet for a lot of years and also the partner and I cannot give him enough praise and thanks for all he is doing and has done for stitch. After having our dog Cassie who was 15 we had to make the final decision to say goodbye.. after our normal vet showed no understanding on our decision. We decided to use Donaldson in Mirfield . What more could we say so much caring and understanding the girls Liz & Georgia came to our home and made Cassie so comfortable in her last moments.. after a few days we recieved a condolences card . Brilliant service, my wife found a lost/stray dog yesterday, a border collie, we took it to Donaldson and they scanned it, lucky it was chipped and the owners were contacted and Bess reunited with her owners within ten minutes. When our 14 year old cocker spaniel Ruby was diagnosed with a gall bladder mucocele Ritchie the vet was so kind and caring and really took time to explain everything to me. Sadly eventually Ruby was pts at home. I was so grateful that it was Ritchie who came to send Ruby on her last journey. She treated her with dignity and respect and that’s all I could wish for. Donaldson’s have been looking after my animals, on a home/farm visit basis, for maybe 6 or 7 years and I’ve never received anything less than excellent service.

I think I’ve met all the Vets at one time or another - all the Vets that get to ‘play out’, anyway - and I’ve always been impressed by their competence, candour, down to earth attitude, professionalism and, when required, compassion.

Just recently, I had the pleasure of meeting a young Vet named Richie (?) who is, I think, a fairly new recruit. Richie seems great, a pleasure to deal with and very able indeed, she’s a fine addition to the Donaldson’s team.

Surgery staff, though I’ve never met ‘em, seem to be excellent, too. Calls get put through, messages get passed and enquiries get answered. Everything gets done quickly and with the minimum amount of fuss.

I’ve never had an invoice from Donaldson’s that shocked me. Fees for call-outs, even out of hours call-outs, have always been reasonable and charges for meds. have always been sensible.

The 24/365 emergency service is a comfort.
It’s reassuring to know that I can call in help or get advice, at any time of the day or night, on any day of the year, from a Vet who is familiar to me.

Our 18 year old cat Wellington would not be with us today had it not been for Martins dedication and surgical skill supported by an excellent team who contributed to an extremely difficult surgical procedure that saved his life. None of this would had been possible without the timely diagnosis by Rona and swift surgery that was carried out by Martin

A great veterinary practice. We usually see Andrew at Mirfield Surgery who is a great vet & genuinely cares about the pets he is treating & their owners. We have seen numerous vets over the years at various branches of the practice & all have been excellent. Standards are very high & there's real strength in depth. They are not the cheapest veterinary practice, but you get what you pay for. More...

We have just completed a nerve wracking event with our dog George who managed to get a lump of wood embedded in his nasopharyx. The team were wonderful in the surprisingly complex job of removing this and avoiding drastic surgery. George needed three long anaesthetics and the team also managed to get a specialised endoscope/ grabber to help him.
