We cannot recommend DogsWorks enough. They have been so patient with myself thinking I know more than I do (a google expert) but more importantly with our fur baby. I can highly recommend Emma and Dogworks for any kind of training you need for your fur baby. I have a Douglas the Great Dane and Emma is experienced with giant breeds. She has tailor made the package to suit my requirements (giant breeds, had already had some success in self training and intentions to train Douglas as a therapy dog when he’s old enough). Emma offers a personalised service, is super friendly and approachable and Douglas loves her. Emma has been flexible with dates to fit in around my unpredictable working pattern and for this I am ever so grateful. The puppy gift bag that came with the first session made us feel ever so welcome and when Douglas became ill a little get well soon package arriving through the letter box put a huge smile on his chops (and mine too). Emma has been absolutely incredible from the word go. I contacted her on a Sat night after finding out from our neighbours that our dog Willow was suffering from really bad separation anxiety which we had no idea about. By Monday evening Emma had emailed us a very thorough plan, full of tips and ideas to help support us with the training. Dogworks is 1 of the best things I've ever spent money on! The other thing being my puppy ;) Having grown up around dogs that were not very well trained, I was determined that Oona would be super well trained a smart! Realising this was not as easy as I thought I decided to give dogworks a try. I'm so incredibly happy I did! Oona wasn't thriving when I tried to train her alone. I've had no experience doing so. Emma from dogworks is doing a superb job of teaching us both! Sometimes Oona picks things up faster than me! Oona is growing up into the clever girl I've dreamed of owning! Stacy was brilliant with our beagle pup. Beagles are renowned for not coming back, but now Hallie puts all the dogs to shame when it comes to recall. Stacy made the training fun for Hallie, and gave us so much advice too. Stacy was also happy to include our children in the training, which made a massive difference to our 12 yr old, who had been mauled by a friends dog when he was 3, so was understandably very wary of a bouncy pup. Highly recommend Emma and Dogworks! We booked the Diamond Puppy Package and Darcy was 10 weeks old when we had the first of our 5 sessions. Emma is calm and confident and has a natural bond with dogs. Darcy responded really well to the training and we made sure we practiced between sessions to reinforce what she had learnt. What do you love most about your job?
We love the dogs! Its amazing getting to know each of their totally different personalities, watching them grow, and learn. It is such a rewarding job, and the results we get to see are fantastic. The people are great too - meeting lots of new, interesting dog owners, who are always appreciative of our work.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business when I got my first dog - a feisty little Jack Russell, named Rolo. I had always been a huge animal lover, but I had never owned a dog before (I had cats, hamsters, giant african land snails, and even stick insects!). I was finally allowed to have a dog, so thats when Rolo came along. I loved watching him grow, learn and develop his own little personality - just like a human! Shortly after I got Rolo I started to study dogs in more depth, and from then on I knew I wanted to work with dogs everyday.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have spent years expanding our knowledge and experiencing many different things that often crop up in the doggy world. We give our all into each case, whether it’s basic puppy training or an aggression case. We assess each dog to help understand how they are best likely to learn, because like people, dogs learn in different ways too! We are always happy to answer questions, so get in touch, we don’t bite!

Yes! We are able to offer online video sessions as an alternative to in person sessions in the current climate.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
When we are carrying out in person sessions we are doing them outside where possible, and are respecting the 2 meter social distancing guidance. We are also wearing visors, and masks where necessary.
