We have now had our beautiful rescued Podenco for 3 months and she has bought us so much joy. She is so loving and has settled into her new home on the Isle of Wight exceptionally well. She LOVES her walks/runs on the beaches the Down land and especially the woodland. She has been very responsive to training and it it lovely to see her growing into a very much loved addition to our family. Having rescued two dogs from Crete, with distressing backgrounds, differing ages and very different needs we wanted to bring some good manners to their daily outings.
Jo was and is the woman for the job!
It’s been like talking to an old friend every week, very calming, hugely informative and not once have we been made to feel like we have no idea what we’re doing, despite being complete novices in training dogs. It was quite the reverse, we have felt like we can do anything with consistency, patience and understanding of what the dogs need as opposed to what we ultimately want from them. We need to give as much as we are expecting from them, if not more. Jo has managed to lead us in a few short weeks to a place where we never thought we could be with either of our two. We are not there yet but know with a bit more training we will get there. We have seen huge results in a very short space of time and look forward to nailing the recall. We can’t thank Jo enough for her time and kindness throughout the training and are grateful for all the hints and tips along the way, all of which have been easily accessible, communicated clearly and followed up with notes for future reference. It’s not felt like a chore training the dogs, it’s been difficult at times, it never a chore because we go out with the tools we need for success.
I would recommend Jo to anyone who feels they can’t or won’t get there with their dogs, you can’t be you will.

This organisation and especially Jo Brewer has gone above and beyond in the help advise and friendship they have shown us in securing our lovely new Podenco puppy from Spain. Without all the knowledge expertise and vet care including regular video updates the process would be so much harder. We have felt connected to our puppy right from the start. And tomorrow we welcome her into her forever home. A huge thank you to all involved including the carers in Spain who do a magnificent job in the care of these dogs left in dire straights. What a fantastic organisation- the whole process so far in getting our forever pup has been made so much easier by readily given information help and advise by this remarkable organisation. I cannot find anything they could do better - lots of puppy updates videos and information regularly which enables you to keep in touch with your puppies progress. Jo was absolutely amazing. We used her services for advice around our new puppy, as first time dog owners. I can’t recommend Dogs2Foster highly enough - Jo is an amazing lady who really does go the extra mile. We were heartbroken last year when we lost our beloved 13 year old dog.
Jo could not have been more helpful and supportive matching us to our lovely new rescue and guiding us through the whole process of adopting from abroad. The fact we were confident and prepared thanks to the advice and information we were given before Lula arrived really helped her( and us) adjust quickly and she soon settled with us in her new home. Jo was always available to offer advice and support and was thoroughly brilliant!

I have used several of the Dogs2Foster courses with my two rescue dogs and found them really helpful- neither of the dogs had had any form of training so we were starting from zero and lockdown restrictions meant we were unable to attend dog training passes in person. Working through the presentations has been invaluable- even as experienced dog owners we have learnt new things about canine behaviour and motivation. We have completed the recall course recently and have made great progress with both my girls able to be off lead for periods of their walk. My podenco now has a reliable recall - something I never believed would be possible- but she is very treat/food motivated which no doubt helps. My Mastin is a work in progress as she is a stubborn girl but there is definite progress and I have the confidence and reassurance that I can go back and recheck what I am doing in my course notes. We can't praise Dogs2foster UK enough. Jo has been extremely helpful all the way through the adoption process. We've had dogs for nearly forty years, but they'd all been very young when we had them.
So adopting an older dog and from another country has been a real learning curve. It was comforting to know that Jo was only a phone call away with advice and words of encouragement.
Also it's lovely when we've bumped into other Dogs2foster owners out on a walk, and to see how happy their dogs are.

Helping dogs to be understood, interpreting their behaviour and the reasons behind it, to enable discrepancies between an owner and their dog to be properly resolved to ensure they both achieve a happy, balanced companionship based on trust and respect.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My regard and admiration for dogs has lasted a lifetime. I grew up with eighty plus rescue animals on our small holding in the New Forest, dogs have always been a wonderful constant in my life, this is why I founded The Dog Rescuers Training Centre & Dogs2FosterUK, which has already rehabilitated and rehomed over 350 dogs which is our charitable purpose.
