I put my guitar in to get a pickup fitted to it, and it turned out that my guitar was broken (a strut was twisted). Ben fixed the strut, and installed the pickup, for the price he'd originally quoted.
In addition, he managed something which few specialist shop people seem to be able to, namely to answer some pretty dumb questions without making me feel stupid. That counts for a lot!
