Updated Review: 5 StarsAfter a swift reply from Jim to correct the errors that were made in handling my case and make good on their end, I am updating my reply. Jim not only made a genuine apology to me, but took swift action in correcting the mistakes that were made in handling my case, including dismissing two employees who were involved. Where I am from, that is exactly what would have happened, and so for this he immediately regained my trust.Finding the person I needed to serve the TRO was not easy. Jim kept me updated with phone calls all the way up to the end, assuring me that he would see that the TRO would be served and all loose ends tied up.I said in my initial review that we are all human and sometimes make mistakes. It's what we do to correct those mistakes that matters. Jim and his team were 100% professional. Whereas my initial experience was extraordinarily disappointing, it is now extraordinarily impressed. Excell YelpTL;drIn seeking the service of this business to serve a Temporary Restraining Order, I was charged a total of $595. 85 in three payments to two separate companies. A total of two attempts were made to serve this person, first at 8:29am and three days later at 2:26pm. What is the likelihood that the average person is going to be home at either hour?--Full Review:I chose this business after reading nothing but 5 star reviews. My experience has been significantly less than that.I contacted Excell on April 27 to serve a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO). A man I spoke with who did not give his name quoted me about $130-150 and said they would work aggressively to serve the TRO ("we bang on doors and talk to neighbors"). Later that day I was contacted by Fernando, who was very friendly. He quoted me upwards of $300 for the same job. When I asked why I had been quoted two significantly different prices, he assured me to not worry and that it would likely be the lesser amount given that I had supplied Excell with ample information (name, DOB, address, DL number) to locate the individual to be served. On April 28 I received an invoice from Process Server One to pay $130.55 and did so immediately. I felt confident given the turnaround time from when I spoke with two employees and when I was charged that the job would be done shortly thereafter.Over one week later, on May 7, I received a payment receipt from Excell Investigations for the amount of $309.00, which included a 3% credit card fee. At no point was I contacted between April 27 and May 7. My total charge was up to $439.55. I texted Fernando asking to clear up why I had been charged so much for a single process service. He directed me to talk with his "operations manager" Jim, whom I called.Jim told me that he is the owner of both Excell Investigations and Process Server One, and to "not worry about the money" as whatever overcharges would be reversed, and the job of serving the TRO would be handled expediently. He asked me to forward the invoices to his email address, and I did so within five minutes of our call. From looking at my credit card statement later, I learned that on May 8 (the day after I spoke with Jim) I was charged for a THIRD TIME in the amount of $156.30, for which I received no invoice nor payment receipt. My current payments for a process service to serve one TRO to one individual is now at a grand total of $595.85. I emailed Jim at 9am May 10 asking for his help to clear up the overcharges and get an update on the TRO being served. 40 minutes later, I was cc'd on an email wherein he asked another employee to follow up.That employee (Andria, located in Colorado), sent me two separate emails that had only attachments. The first included details of the two attempts that were made to serve the person who I have filed the TRO against. The second email included a Non-Service Report for $125.I then emailed a reply to both Andria and Jim asking them to confirm if this meant that only two attempts were made to serve the TRO (at 8:29 am and 2:26pm), and inquired about the amount I had been charged. To his credit, Jim promptly replied to "please refund" me, and that three more attempts would be made at no cost. Three days later, I received no email regarding this refund, nor did I see a credit back to my credit card. Today I followed up with yet another email at 7am, this time attaching the updated TRO form with the new court date to have the party served.As of this writing -- nine hours after my last email -- I have not received a reply from either Jim or Andria, nor have I received a refund. I have since disputed all charges with my credit card company as the service was not rendered.So, to sum up: in seeking the service of this highly-rated business to serve a single TRO, I was charged a total of $595.85 in three payments to two separate companies. Two attempts were made to serve the TRO, at 8:29am and three days later at 2:26pm. Why were these attempts made when a person is least-likely to be home? How about coming before the average person has already left for work or around/after dinner time? But what do I know, I'm just a regular guy, far from a seasoned investigator with decades of experience and a multitude of employees.Anyone who has to reach out to a private investigator is obviously in a bind and in need of some special service. We are all humans. Most of us are doing the best we can. I highly recommend Excell Investigations if you need to find a missing person or just locate someone. I used Excell to help find my son who was missing and Fernando Villa did an excellent job helping to find my son and was very detailed, and persistent in his search efforts. Most importantly he seemed to genuinely care about the well being of my son and demonstrated passion in finding him and getting him home. I would like to really recommend excell investigations. I had a situation where I had to serve a landlord that was very evasive and was impossible to find. Nizar milbes, was able to find the individual and serve him for my dad. This guy was a real crook he would rip off tenants by trying to take their deposit after he would kick them out. He was slick enough to get out of the case but Excell able to find a new address and this time they didn't even charge me the next time around. thank you so much for your service. More...

Where do I start? Well if I could give 10 stars it would'nt be enough I've worked with Nizar Milbes the case manager for about 3 years now and this man has over delivered and has gone way above the realms of customer service! I was going through a very pressuring situation at the time I first utilized this service. I won't go to much into my personal story but basically I was trying to have someone served with a legal notice but had no clue where they lived or even how to find them. That was no problem for Nizar all I had was a name literally to go off of no date of births or phone numbers I could produce to help however within the first 30 minutes of hiring Nizar called me with a list of family members and addresses where the individuals live and by the next day less than 48 hours they were found and served! How cool and so totally releiving that he got back so fast I immidiately knew I made a great a choice and was very lucky for finding Nizar! It was because of this 3 years later I again would need his help! Probably the best private investigators in all of california! I was involved in an auto accident and the guy who hit had no driver license or insurance. He told me that he was a mechanic and he would pay for the repairs and fix any issues. However after a few days he just blocked my phone number and disappeared. I got the police report to try and track the guy down but the address he provided to the police was an old address where he no longer lived at. My plan was to sue the guy but I couldn't serve him if i didnt have his address. So I contacted 2 other investigator companies to track the guy down but they were no good to me. They couldnt even find any information on the guy l, even when i provided the guys ID. But then i was referred to excell investigations by a good friend of mine and it was the best choice I ever made! They were able to provide me with the information I needed to take the guy to court and he even had to pay me the very affordable costs to hire excell Investigations. Thank God for this company.With all the stuff going on with the pandemic and all that I had to call five investigation agencies tell someone was able to actually speak to an actual investigator and he gave me some very valuable advice on my Situation. I needed an investigator due to a problem I had of a 10 year ongoing, long, drawn-out divorce, because the soon-to-be-ex husband had stolen all of our money and assets, and refused to settle the divorce unless I capitulated to everything. He had also before he physically assaulted me, threatened my life, and disappeared, previously lied to courts to have me thrown in jail so that he could steal everything from our homes, and he took out a fraudulent restraining order against me which took me a couple of years to get removed after I proved to the Court that he was lying on both issues. Further, he deserted me with 3 dogs, several cats, no food, and no money. He had the heat, electricity and hot water cut off in the home I was living in. So that is how I lived for 2 years while looking for any work I could find. Then a year later, he evicted me from that home that we both were supposed to own and I had put money into. But he had lied to me about signing a quit claim deed, saying I needed to sign it for a refinance, and that he had put the house back into our Trust after the refinance was completed. But he lied and had not done that. So I lost and was evicted from that home I helped to purchase. I had to sell my other home to pay for the attorneys fees. So, I was forced to live in my car for 2 years while looking for attorneys and investigators to help me.Additionally, I was having to sue my husband for Fraud and Theft. That was a lot to take in, for a woman who though she was happily married to a heterosexual male for a couple of decades. Three attorneys told me my situation wasn't possible to resolve. My arrogant husband actually thought he had won. So I got rid of the attorneys who said they couldn't. Then I found a 3 other attorneys, 2 criminal attorneys and 1 civil attorney who said they were able to get my job done.Then, I found Nizar Milbes at Excell Investigation through a referral from an acquaintance, after I interviewed several other investigators. I decided to chose Nizar because he was so knowledgeableof the business, he took a genuine interest in my problem, and his services were priced well.John used many different approaches and investigation techniques while investigating my case. He used GPS tracking and surveillance cameras. He had his investigators stake out the home where my soon-to-be-ex and his girlfriend were living, along with 2 other people. The investigators gathered the information I desperately needed on all 4 of the individuals. They uncovered criminal activity on my husband and his girl friend, who had stolen all of our marriage assets, as well as a lot of monies and assets that were mine before I even met my husband. Nizar also completed hours of computer research, performing background checks, and finding addresses, phone numbers, hidden bank accounts, social media interactions on xxx porn sites, finding job locations, associates, business dealings, court records, purchases, etc. He even found other stolen property that I wasn't even aware of. Because of Nizar's hard work and diligence, he was able to provide me with an extensive Report and full documentation that I was able to provide my attorney.My attorney was then able to move forward and prove to the Court that my husband had indeed committed Fraud and theft. After 10 years, a Jury of 12 convicted my soon-to-be ex in a Court of Law of Fraud and Theft and awarded me a generous Judgement.Consequentially, I was able to get my the divorce andsettlement that I had been fighting for years to get.While I have not yet been able to find the doll my mother gave me when I was 6 years old, that the jerk and his girlfriend stole from me, I was able to find some of my antiques that they stole from me and took half way across the Country. Also, because I won my Fraud case, the Jury doubled my Fraud Judgement against my husband, and I am able to recoup about half of the money that was stolen from me, plus interest.I consider myself quite fortunate to escape such evil. My only regret in this whole ordeal is that my criminal attorney who had promised me the "experience of a lifetime" when my ordeal was over, died before my ordeal was actually over. I was getting some bizarre transactions when checking my bank account online, and I had also been getting ultimatum letters from some places of business I would never even consider even going to. This being said, I had remembered a transaction that I had made about a month or two prior at a place in Torrance that just didn't seem right... normally I am quite vigilant over conducting any form of business, but I'll admit that I was had this time around.After the painstaking routine of having to contact my bank and credit agencies of fraud, I began narrowing down some possibilities on how my identity could have been stolen, and it all pointed to this business in Torrance.I wanted to really dive down into finding out what the hell was going on, so I asked a few people what route I could take. One friend suggested I look into a private investigator, and Excell Investigation in Downey was recommended to me. I did call some other agencies, just for the sake of consultations/pricing and finding out whom and what I'd be dealing with. Honestly, when I called these other places, and asked to speak with an experienced investigator, most of them came across as being rather arrogant. It seemed to be a real burden to them to even consider looking into the issue I brought up to them. But when I had spoken to Nizar Milbes at Excell, he was clearly someone who knew what he was talking about. He was really well versed with various investigation techniques, and super professional about it.Not only was Nizar a wizard in this sort of field, but he was super cool and provided excellent customer service. He even kept me completely up to date on the investigation. And there were results! I managed to get the evidence I needed to go after that business for willingly using my card information for their own use, and took them to court. They had no chance, and wanted to settle immediately. I got the money back that they had been wrongfully "charging" me, and while I would have liked to have left them a really bad Yelp review, they're gone. Apparently they closed down a little while back. So good riddance to them (although they'll probably try something shady later on somewhere else). had a family situationi. I never heard of private investigator never heard a private investigator before I never knew what they really did. My attorney advised me to look for one so casually I went on Yelp and seen Excell investigations reviews. I can tell you I was very skeptical because I wasn't very versed in the industry. I got to tell you that they were very professional and caring and helped me out throughout the whole process. Every time I called them for an update they always available and they actually I many occasions contacted me with quick updates. I've been looking my biological father most of my life. My wife was in a car accident. The on-site police officer worte the traffic report incorrectly, evaluated the scene incorrectly and worte the statement of an eye-witness incorrectly. .. the officer got the witness phone number incorrectly so my insurance company couldn't even get in contact with the witness! <br><br>We would have accepted the report if it wasn't so blatantly against all common sense. Seriously, it had to be a rookie police officer probably a "D" student in highschool? <br><br>We needed someone to get an accurate statement from the witness. This is where Chris (private Investigator) came in to the picture. First, his response time was very impressive. His availability to pick up our phone calls was very impressive. I wanted to write a review for Excell again, as my first experience with them wasn't amazing but John turned that around quickly. <br><br>I had run into a few issues with my first request to them, but it turns out that John was out of town due to an emergency and the office was overwhelmed with requests. John immediately reached out to me to apologize when he was back in the office, credited me back the cost, and promised to make things right the next time around. He left me with his personal number and asked me to reach out to him directly if I had any additional requests.<br><br>I ended up needing another serving to be done so I reached out to John and the job was done so well and so smoothly. Nothing short of SUPERB! I can't think of anything that could've been improved in my experience with Excell. I won a small claims case for more than $5,000 in unpaid wages, but the debtor completely ignored the judge's order and refused to reply to my communications or to pay me a penny. I had to get the debtor's administrator personally served by a professional process server. She's someone who travels a lot and is tough to pin down. I knew she'd be in Santa Fe Springs on a given day and time, and I contracted Excell for the job. I was nervous because I live 400 miles away from Santa Fe Springs, and because she was only going to be there for a day. Excell put Fernando Villa on the job. He was absolutely AMAZING: He stayed in close contact with me throughout the entire process - before, during and after the service, days, nights, weekends, you name it. He thoroughly prepared ahead of time and demonstrated the highest level of professionalism every single step of the way. He got the job done and even provided me with a video of the moment in which he served her. (The service was perfectly executed.) He then sent me the completed proof of service right away. I thought the flat rate they charged me was more than reasonable considering all the work that Fernando invested in doing the job and doing it right. I honestly cannot recommend these people highly enough. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had in hiring someone to do a job for me, hands down. I work in the courts, know how important it is to have things done correctly, and I wouldn't think twice about hiring them again, including for more complicated private investigations work. Great customer service. I made a request to Excell to find an old neighbor who I needed for a court case. Excell was very professional, they handled my case in a timely manner. I called them around 12:00pm in the afternoon and they sent me the requested data within 4 hours. They promised it would be the same day, although I was a little skeptical thinking they were over promising but they did come through with their word. <br><br>They provided me accurate information I am very pleased and I was successfully able to locate that person. Thank you Excell for all the efforts that you put forward to finding my cousin. Honestly when I first hired them we were very skeptical because we already went through four different private investigators to try to find my cousin which we haven't seen in about 10 years and since he had a lot of problems and was considered a Transient he was very difficult to find. All of the other investigation agencies kept giving us the runaround they will give us a bunch of documents with addresses that we already had. Since we wanted to do our search in Los Angeles area because of the tip that we had and we live in San Francisco it was easy for other investigator to play around with us. With Excel they made us feel very comfortable and they actually hit the streets to be able to eventually locate him. Whatever you do, do not use these people, they are completely unprofessional bullys, and I am not sure if they are even legitimate. <br><br>When hiring them, I went down to their office, and at no point was I ever allowed to talk to anyone with PI credentials. Just middle men, <br><br>I told them, I needed to speak with the PI in person not only so I know what is going on, and that the person is doing the job, and so that I don't sit around wondering if work was ever done, as well as me being able to discuss with them the complexities. They were hesitant, <br><br>I paid them a small amount of $309.00 for a simple job to test the waters to see how things would go and if it would lead to more work from them but after paying them, they started in on me <br><br>I was in contact with a Will, John Milbes, and a I believe Fraud, Sophia who they had call me saying she was the investigator.<br><br>And if anyone knows my world wide situation, which most do, Sophia was someone who was sent after me years ago on IRC targeting me, and mass groups are trying to coverup these crimes of what she or who she was and what they were involved in,in destroying my life<br><br>After talking to Sophia, different one obviously, to explain the situation so that she could understand the specifics, she got very defensive, not wanting to help me, and started in on me with the cryptic harassment, blowing me off, and refusing to get back to me. <br><br>For example, I will call you tomorrow ended up in 4 days, and upon me calling the office, to figure out what is going on was unacceptable to them, with them starting in on me with the harassment<br><br>Eventually, they picked a location for the job, and the location I was to meet her first was across the street from the main location and when Will said this on the phone, instantly, I said that, that doesn't make sense, cannot be across the street where everyone can see, and then Will lied to me saying. "Oh, no it's not across the street, it's in the general area"<br><br>That night, I noticed online, it was across the street and when I called Sophia to change the location, her number was disconnected. This is also prior to a 2nd conversation with her the night before the job was to be, confirming everything and telling her to bring me her investigators number or ID.<br><br>At the point I could no longer contact her with the new location I left a message for John or Will in regards to simply changing the location and all of a sudden they got extremely defensive and thugging and going off on me about all this back and forth stuff in unacceptable and trying to make it look like I was being difficult for simply trying to hire a PI, Talk to a PI so they can understand what the job is and then change a location once lied too seems pretty simple to me, and should be no big deal.<br><br>But when you are dealing with people trying to be middle men, and stopping you from having direct contact with the PI, how can anything get done, and you don't even really know who you hired. Hence why what they are doing seems pretty fraudulent to me because non of this should not be a big deal and I can assure you that I am not asking for anything out of the norm, but to be treated right, and work with a PI to get the job done who is professional and not against you. (If you know who I am and what has been done to my life, You can understand that statement)<br><br>At this point, Will calls me up trying to control, leverage, overpower me, and things like this. I do give him a new location but he breaks all contact with me and Sophia, which disconnecting her phone seems pretty damn odd to me, and shows guilt most likely.<br><br>I call Jon up and he plays the same game. At this point I make a Judgement that I do not trust these people and the way they operate and they are not on the side of helping me, and just want to steal my money, and will probably do whatever it takes to take me money, and do nothing to help me except try to help the people who targeted me in the first place. So I tell John, I am no longer interested in their services, which they had not yet provided me, and I want my money back.<br><br>Well, just like I thought, John tells me, there are no refunds and it's in the contract, so I go through the contract on the phone with him and there is nothing in there. He gets mad, says, you don't get your money back, and if you want us to proceed, then call them.<br><br>also trying to intimidate me "You pissed off an P.I." For trying to work with them and not kissing their thugging and bullying *ss.<br><br>But of course, these aren't honest people you can work with, nor am I allowed to actually talk to a PI, with PI Credentials. Which seems pretty odd you would call a PI firm, and not be allowed to directly talk to a PI, unless someone is trying to control and censor information and the situation to stop you from getting help or frame you in a situation.<br><br>Whatever you do, do not use these people More...

John was able to serve the the Respondent on my case quickly. The Respondent purposely used a different vehicle, changed work hours, to avoid service but John caught up to the Respondent anyway and even provided photos throughout the surveillance. Thanks John.

Instructor was GREAT however company as a whole is terrible. Signed up through promotion and unexpectedly had son's developmental therapy switched 3 weeks in for the same time as his swim lesson.
