What’s your interior design process?
The interior design process normally begins with an initial discussion with clients either over the telephone or face to face, this interaction allows me to take a full and comprehensive brief and ascertain the client's desires, motivations, style and preferences and for us to discuss budget and timescales.
Plans are then drawn up and photographs are taken of the spaces and depending on the size of the project it normally takes a couple of weeks to 1 month to create the scheme.
The scheme is then presented back to the client with options for colour pallets, floor plan configuration, lighting plans, sample and mood boards and sourcing of materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Clients can then decide to work with me on making the design a reality through the build process or work with their own tradesmen, each project is unique and I am happy to work flexibly with clients to their individual needs, budgets and timescales.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Each client and each property is completely unique as each interior design scheme. I would like to think that my signature style is eclectic, given my depth of knowledge of interior design styles from period to contemporary, rustic to art deco, I am able to create inspiring and bespoke interior design schemes for my clients. I have great knowledge of expertise on working with listed buildings, new builds, conversions, extensions, contemporary penthouse apartments and rustic farmhouses.
What do you love most about your job?
The ability to draw on my knowledge and expertise to create unique and inspiring design schemes for my clients, exceeding their expectations throughout the design process and ultimately the 'wow' expression when they walk into the finished space.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love of art, design and architecture, the flexibility of being the creator of my own destiny, and the amazing clients and suppliers I have met along the way, it doesn't feel like work, I absolutely love what I do !.
