Event & Party Planners
Design-a-Party helped organise our garden party for 110 people, sorting out catering, vodka luge, bar staff and managing the other suppliers (drink, marquee, band) we had arranged ourselves. They were extremely easy to deal with in advance of the night and everything organised was delivered perfectly. In addition, Sandra Smith of Design-a-Party managed the entire evening on the night ensuring set up was completed properly, the arrival of suppliers and preparing for guests. She was instrumental in us being able to relax and leave the event management in her professional hands including taking gifts from us and storing, and addressing on the night problems including sourcing shot glasses with an hour's notice. I remember feeling very under pressure and disorgansied until Sandra arrived at 530pm and she was like a calm breeze ensuring everything was perfect. Highly recommended ! More...

We have so many to choose from it is impossible to choose. However attention to detail and presentation are key to everything we do!
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We create the perfect menu by listening to our clients! We need to understand your personal preferences, know what the occasion is, see what facilities will be available to us on the day and of course, work within your specified budget.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people, listening to their ideas and expectations and then by adding our experience and flair, create the perfect event that both they and their guests will remember.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Loosing a close family member made me focus on what I really wanted out of life. By committing myself to a new business, I soon developed the drive and passion required to be an event organiser. Nearly 20 years on I still love my job. I have learnt so much over the years but you never stop learning. Each client has different requirements, every event has new challenges - and that is why I enjoy my job so much!

Our attention to detail and total commitment to each of our clients is second to none. We listen to our clients expectations then develop their ideas to create a wonderful event. We never forget that the client is putting a lot of faith into our ability to transform their ideas into a great party. Communication plays a vital role in our job so it is essential that the client is reassured by email or telephone as to how the planning is shaping up. If the planning and organisation is meticulous then we stand every chance of a creating a successful event which you and your guests will talk about for years to come!
