DeRosa is a great place to learn. They encourage you no matter what your age. I started as an absolute beginner on guitar in my forties and I feel I have made good progress over the past 18 months. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's great to have DeRosa here in Bishops Stortford, otherwise I would still be wishing I could play the guitar instead of actually now being able to play. De Rosa go beyond and above expectations. Today I needed 2 songs urgently "burnt" onto a disc to give to the Funeral director . I asked their advice and they went out of their way to help me! My children have now been attending De Rosa for music lessons (guitar and keyboards) for some time now. Right from their very first lessons, I have never failed to be impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and enthusiasm shown by all teaching staff and management. De Rosa is by far the best music store and school in the area. Excellent teaching staff and professional and knowledgable staff in their store. The store is a hive of activity when the pupils are arriving for and leaving their lessons. It’s clear they enjoy their lessons there. At the end of term gigs, pupils have an opportunity to showcase their talent and over the years I’ve seen how many of them have progressed with their instruments. It’s great to see the range of pupils who perform from those who have just started learning to those who are advanced and accomplished players. Lessons are not just for children, many adults take lessons too and you can choose to learn a wide range of instruments from classical to contemporary. My daughter has just successfully attained her Grade 7 in bass guitar after just over 4 years tuition with De Rosa and continues with lessons on guitar and band skills. They have given my son 100% encouragement and his guitar playing has excelled beyond my expectations in just six months. He has a safe, inspiring lesson environment , an inspiring tutor , a nationally recognised syllabus to work towards and most of all fun . Friendly and knowledgeable group of people who will take their time to help and advise. I had been looking for an acoustic guitar upgrade and had looked at Taylor, Martin, and Gibson - all of which were excellent and far in excess of my ability but would be great to own. John suggested I looked at the Faith range and I was astonished at how good they were in every aspect; build quality, tone, ease of use. Being left-handed they had no lefties in stock but could order one. The honesty and approachability of the staff gave me great confidence that they could deliver, especially as I was assured that if I was not happy I would get a full refund. The guitar that arrived far exceeded my expectations, a true work of art with superb rosewood graining. Even despite my lack of ability it sounds good too! I have purchased from Derosa before and had good service. This last time has re-enforced why I shall be going back - they deliver an excellent service to provide first class quality goods, and hence satisfied customers. More...

The staff at Derosa simply cannot do enough to help you. The shop is professional yet friendly and as an interior designer I love the ambience that the environment there creates. Perfect for any creative! The tutors are great and professional musicians in their own right which always leaves you feeling like you are in good hands.
