I don't normally leave reviews, but I did thought that the service I received was outstanding, so here goes. Jane took my initial enquiry and arranged for David to come to my home to quote.
He was very professional and compared to the other companies representatives that quoted, he was clearly the more experienced and knew what he was talking about answering all of my questions with ease.
The quote was sent to us in writing along with the terms and conditions via email. Really straight forward and easy. I had to chase most other companies for their quotes and terms.
When we had a date, we booked in. Jane was very good and informed us, as had David, that we couldn't book in until we had a solid, confirmed date as if we did, and the date moved, there would be a charge. Which is good advice. We then paid over the phone.
The day of the move the team of guys arrived on time, all uniformed and smart. Introduced themselves, had a look round and got set up. Floors where covered where needed etc.
The team, I have to say, were amazing. The care that was taken was brilliant, and the speed they emptied my 4 bed home was again, unreal.
These guys are the best moving crew I have ever had in 12 moves over 15 years. I have moved all over the UK and abroad for my work and I can tell you that you will be very hard pressed to find better.
So a very big thank you to all the team at Bass Removals and I will certainly be using you again when the time comes to move back home to Portsmouth.

I am the owner of Bass removals in Derby and this is in response to Mr Mavins review. Firstly, your removal took place over 3 days.
On the final day you were asked about your plants and we were told that you were moving them. Secondly, you asked us to store your items. Our charges for storage are 28 days in advance. This is standard across the industry. The problem being here is that you were late paying all your storage invoices so incurred late payment charges. To the point where we took lien of your items and issued an intent to sell to recover your storage costs.
When you bought your storage charges up to date you collected your items and fly tipped the rest of your furniture on our private property landing your self with charges from us for disposal and court action for fly tipping. I think now the general public will have a better idea of just what sort of man we have had to deal with. As on previous review sites you have visited I have stated my dislike for the keyboard warrior type person that you are and just to clarify that my office is open 7 days a week for you visit. But something tells me you won’t!

Removal team were efficient but rushed the job and left many garden items that they said we're not agreed upon. Would not pick those up without incurring further charges.
The big problem is when you store your items with them and come to retrieve them. You will be hit with hidden charges ( think of a number) that make returning of items prohibitive. Plus you will be hounded the second you are late to pay ( you are required to pay one month in advance) storage charges. They will then threatened with selling your items .....
What sort of customer service do you call that. Especially in these difficult virus times? Avoid!!!

Amazing service. From the start David was very helpful and really knows his stuff. We used Bass Removals in December, they were fantastic, reasonably priced and an incredibly hard work team. We moved into a 3 story house with a difficult staircase to negotiate with our furniture and they went above and beyond to get our furniture to where it needed to go and our sons have two quirky beds that needed to be reassembled , which they did as part of the service.
