DCR is fantastic and I owe him a great debt for just how much he has helped me. I was having problems trying to juggle everything one has to do in Life. My Business, my home life, looking after my health and still have the energy to do all the other things that need to be done, I was feeling overwhelmed. I looked for a Life Coach, never used the service before and wasn't sure who to choose. I knew I would need some one who was experienced across the board, and could relate to my situation. DCR is one of these very rare people who deliver. My sessions with him have been nothing short of jaw dropping and eye catching. I was looking around for Coaching for some time but wasn't overly impressed about what was available in Life Coaching until I saw DCR on the web. I liked what he had to say. This guy is Amazing, so different to what I expected. Never used a Coach before so was a bit apprehensive but in less than 5 minutes this guy had already made me feel different just by talking, then he went to work on me so to speak - 25 minutes later I no longer had the FEAR of commitment - I don't even know how he did it, he just talked to me and made me see certain things I never saw before I guess. Highly recommend him, his name is Darren Christopher Rowland. High End Executive Level - ‘Peak’ Performance Coaching …

My primary work in Business Coaching is with High end Executive level clients. My role is to ensure their peak performance and productivity, whilst taking on the problems, stresses and pressures the Executive must endure in their highly demanding position.

These individuals usually have a significant role in a major organisation. Their position, by nature, will usually be a well paid, well respected, place of authority and sought after position within the Company and to the outside world.

On the inside however the position can be crammed full of stress, pressure, time limits, daily multiple problems, isolation, loneliness, conflicts with personal / home life, long hours, sometimes health implications and emotional drain. Clearly a lot of jobs could be categorized as this but, High end Executives represent less than 1% of the business populous so their position is at the top or close to the top of the peak and so, the aforementioned negatives are that much more intensive.

High end Executives are not immune to human imperfections, the higher up in an organisation you go – the pointer the peak gets and the isolation or the loneliness only exponentially increases. With no one to bounce off or to off load on to, the stress and pressure can become counter productive and become dis-empowering instead of stimulating,

All this can lead often to health issues physically and or mentally. Being unable to emotionally ‘release’ is actually a form of torture in some Countries!

A competent Professional Coach is able to ‘back up’ and support the individual in a role that few other people / if anyone, can do.

Why is this?
Some of the information this individual has is best not shared with many / if any people within their organisation which only serves to compound the isolation and pressure more. Work colleagues are not always an option for High end Executives.

If the individuals home life is not supportive of this demanding position then everything gets layered with a second set of problems. Not being able to tell their partner about their work problems is frustrating to some people. Maybe their partner does not want to hear about their problems at work, especially if the home life is already being affected. Strain on inter-personal relationships intensifies the stress and pressure back at work. Not seeing the kids enough or at the right times is another potential issue.

Friends are not always around when needed due to their own commitments and life style, plus again some of the information the individual would want to talk about may be Company sensitive and not allowed outside the Company.

No wonder many High end Executives use the services of a Professional Coach to keep their balance and their sanity and avoid the crumble.

How do I Coach High End Executives?
By understanding both the Company, that is, the job role / description of the individual I am Coaching and the aims of the Company itself, and by understanding the individual on an intimate level, by knowing their beliefs, their values, their goals, their habits, their behaviours, their personality … by entering ‘their’ world so to speak. With this as the premise the Coach can be akin to a USB back up of an original, in the human sense though, and without having all the ‘black’ or ‘negative’ internal experiences and emotional constraints the client is having.

I am able to Coach objectively therefore. It allows me to direct and support my client, sometimes this may involve mopping up all the stress and absorbing whatever the Executive needs to off load before they go ‘home’.

Other times the Executive may wish to bounce ideas off me that are inherently important even secretive ( I am always required to sign an NDA ) and sometimes they need guidance and advice on things they can’t / wouldn’t ask their friends or business colleagues or anyone at home about because of the sensitive nature of the businesses material.

Since I become a replica of them, but without any of the limitations or negativity, I can operate objectively back to them as if they were themselves ‘objectively’ reflecting in to the mirror but without any thing getting in the way of their own decision making skill set that their job requires from them.

As a Coach I can and do work with them on the human and performance level, I can not replicate the skill set they have in the business making context itself, that is their area of expertise and they have many years experience in that field, my role is the human side.

Together the strategy works magically well.

Business Coaching usually involves a medium to long term time frame. I sign an NDA and the relationship is 24/7/30/365 in some cases. Since the High end Executive is in a very demanding role, my responsibility is to be available ‘whenever’ the client needs me. For others a fixed period of interaction is all they require each week to achieve their balance. It is all perspective.

Want to lose weight Permanently?

If you’re asking “what is a Life Coach doing working in the area of Losing Weight?” then please allow me to introduce myself …

Hi I’m Darren Christopher Rowland and yes while I do work in the Life Coaching profession – one area of Life I am often hired to help people with is ‘Weight Loss‘ – the reason being is that I personally have over 20 years Professional Experience, specifically in Weight Loss and Weight Management.

For over 2 decades I have Coached People on both, how to Lose Weight – and how to keep the weight off – Permanently.

So, when people come to me for Coaching in the context of the body – that is when I put on my Weight Loss ‘hat‘ on.

Before you read any more about my extensive experience, let me ask you a question :

Would you like someone to guaranty your weight loss – or – you don’t pay them?! meaning – if you want to drop 3 stone for example, then either I get you to drop all 3 stone, or, you don’t pay me anything.

As mentioned I work in the Life Coaching profession, but in a specific niche – I Coach people on making “Changes“. I do not offer just help or hope or guidance, I literally produce the result the person desires – objectively. Period. No ambiguity. Hence my title of Professional Life Changing Coach.

My work is based entirely on a simple principle – if I do not get you to make the change you are seeking, then you don’t pay. Specifically ;

In the context of Weight Loss there are 2 departments :

1.

I work with people who want to lose a set amount of body weight in the first instance.

– If I do not get you to that agreed body weight – then you don’t pay.

2.

In the second instance is the maintenance of that Weight that has been lost going – forwards long term, their weight can not go up.

Again this is guaranteed – or – the client does not pay.

So, are you someone who struggles to even lose the weight in the first place? or struggles to maintain any weight loss you do make?

I decided to specialise in Weight Management not just weight loss because that is what people are really after. I Coach people on how to maintain their Weight Loss so they never put the weight back on again – ever.

People often ask me ‘how in the world do I manage this?’ my reply is :

“I have had 20 years of experience in this profession and an additional 10 years added to that from personal experience, after 30 years of dedication, devotion and distinction making, I simply have the tools and resources in this context that others haven’t been able to accumulate”

What is my experience in this area?
My career in the Health industry Professionally stems back to 1989!! ( actually it goes further than that even ). I have been a Gym Instructor, a Personal Trainer, a Health consultant, a Weight management club operator and in the latter years a Weight Management Consultant.

In 2005, after 11 years of Personal Trainer work I started a Company called Easy Health to Coach people on Health issues, due the success of this niche Coaching I decided to leave the PT arena in 2007 and went on to start another company focused on Weight Control.

I opened a Weight Management Club in St Albans Hertfordshire in 2008. This was not a gym, nor a weight loss centre nor a weigh in only once a week club. It was a members only / private facility for women only, who were looking to lose weight in the first instance but more importantly wanted to keep the weight off.

A place where they could come to get that help that was sorely missing from what was available on the market. I did not want to be just another weight loss guru or weight loss centre of sorts. The women had a full training facility geared purely for weight loss and then weight management with full nutritional plans and approaches.

All backed up and underpinned by the most important part of the formula for the success – the Emotional support that we provided through Coaching and working with changing behaviours and habits. Everything was weight control oriented. In the first 2.5 years we had in excess of 500 women pass through our club.

After the Success of the club I left in late 2010 to pursue the same mission as a private consultant. Firstly to the public arena and from there my work moved in to the private sector where it mostly continues to this day in this field.

Losing weight has got to be one of the most sought after results people attempt world wide and sadly, the majority of the time the majority of the people don’t actually achieve their desired weight loss, or, they struggle to maintain the weight loss and inevitably put the same weight, sometimes more, back on.

Why is this the case?
Simply put – people have not been taught how to do this – to lose weight and keep it off. People for the most part simply have not been correctly educated on the ‘how’.

Of course almost everyone has gone on a diet and followed training regimes that have come from a mix n match of reading books & magazines, listening to friends, copying film stars, social media, seeing T.V programs etc… in relation to losing weight that results in variable degrees of success and failure of the weight lost.

Maintaining that weight lost is a different topic all together though and statistics show us that 90 – 95% of people who lose any amount of weight – fail to keep that weight lost ‘off‘ long term / permanently.

Some people some of the time really do lose the weight and even keep it off long term but for most people the end results eludes them simply because they have not been fortunate enough to be shown the correct dynamics that are involved with the process of keeping the weight off after it has been lost. It is both a physiological and a psychological approach.

Look at it this way, losing weight in the first instance could be viewed as a short term project, say 1 month to 3 months as just an example. If the person in question even manages to lose all or at least most of the weight they set out to lose, they now have an even bigger hurdle – they need to maintain this result long term, say years and decades!

Unless their life style changes to reflect this new weight / new food regeime/ new workout regime etc… they will struggle to maintain it. Of course they could change their life style but as you well know, that is even – even harder for most people to do or consider. Having a busy life including a fixed job, kids at home, having day to day responsibilities, a home to look after, friends and family to consider and so many other commitments it becomes more than a challenge. Hence the problem.

There are answers. The people that do successfully lose the weight and keep it off long term are examples of how it is possible to do it. How then, do they do it? There are many answers of course but a comment theme / thread that binds every success case together is that they change their lifestyle – permanently, or they do the only ‘other‘ thing available …

They change their own psychology that controls everything. Sounds hard I know, but actually it is relatively easy to do – if you know how, so then we’re back to the ‘lack of education and knowledge’ in this area I mentioned earlier, IF people knew how to do it – they would and the weight would stay off, they don’t, mostly because they don’t know how. It is also easier to change your beliefs and values and behaviours and actions etc… then it is to accept that you need to radically change your whole life / life style, right!

I specialise in Weight Management, not just weight loss because that is what people are really after. People are desperate to learn how to manage the weight loss. Weight management is code for weight loss! but there is a difference.

What is Weight Management Coaching?
Which would you prefer –

To lose some weight / made up of muscle and a little body fat, only to put it back on, and then go round and round repeating this cycle in varying degrees for about 20 years!

or

Lose the same body fat ONCE – and keep it OFF – permanently?

If you answer is the latter than welcome to the world of Weight Management. Weight Management is ‘managing‘ the situation. Make sense?

It is therefore Coaching people on how to maintain a weight loss. As opposed to just helping someone just lose some weight – only to watch them pile it back on because they have not been taught the skill set to manage the situation.

The real challenge people have is not losing weight. People can do that in varying degrees of accuracy, the challenge the same individuals have is in the second instance – keeping the weight OFF, thus I wanted to help people manage the situation, not repeat the same cycle needlessly.

The truth is even the weigh loss in the first instance can be improved, can be made easier and can be sped up, people’s approach for the most part to losing weight is far from ideal! but as mentioned that is the just something that can be improved, my real passion is in the big challenge of maintaining of the weight loss after, the weight is lost.

I believe this is the answer people are desperate for so like all my Life Coaching philosophy – I went about creating a model for people to work with / from. Hence the name of my Company back in 2007 … ‘Easy Weight Management‘.

I wanted to show the women that it was indeed ‘easy‘ to manage their weight and not an impossible outcome as they had been led to believe. I wanted to empower the women at the club with wisdom and knowledge that would enable them to lose the weight then keep it off for as long as they wish.

What does Weight Management Coaching consist of / how does it work?
I accomplish everything with nothing more than same 3 elements that anybody who has ever lost any weight has used :

Exercise – Nutrition – Mind set. Only / clearly differently!

Surprisingly – the answer is along the lines of what you already know. However – it is the subtle differences in actions that make the largest differences in your body!

Exercising in order to accomplish Weight Loss is different to exercising to maintain the lost weight!

Eating to lose weight is different than eating to maintain the weight loss!

… and of course MOST IMPORTANTLY your Mind Set is the make or break to making everything happen. This is the area people focus on the least or not at all yet it is more important that your nutrition or your exercise, eating different for example is a mind set not an action only. A before B is logical. B before A is illogical. Changing your diet without changing your unconscious conditioning that controls it, will not work, as an example.

I help people to understand the how and the why behind the do. This approach increases the effectiveness and Success rate by 100%.

I help individuals by creating a workable, practical, yet effective activity based regime and nutritional approach along the lines that works for them ( not what is easy or convenient for me ) that fits in to their lifestyle, not something that changes, their style of life.

If this can’t be done ( life style changes ) then I help them to change their conditioning from within so that their lifestyle remains unchanged yet they can maintain the weight lost because they now ‘think’ differently.

Design
For some clients I coach in weight loss and weight management, I simply create a template for them to work from and they ‘go off’ with that as they may only have a small amount to lose and or they are generally clued in.

Other clients however, prefer me to facilitate their diet and exercise directly as well and on a regular basis. This is more extensive of course but different people require different levels of assistance.

In other instances the client will hire me to live in with them for the entire month, literally. I move in to their home ( usually it is a big one! ) monitor, manage and action the entire program with the client ensuring their weight loss Success. Then, helping them to manage and maintain the weight lost going forwards.

Without Health – everything and anything – is Nothing

You may be asking “what is a Life Coach doing working in the Health area?”

It is inherently a good question … Hi I’m Darren Christopher Rowland.

… IF I were just a typical run of the mill Life Coach and I was claiming to “Coach” people on Health you would naturally ask “what gives me the right to claim I can help people with their Health”?

As you will read, I am not a run of the mill Coach so please allow me to explain :

I have over 20 years experience in the Health industry. For over 2 decades I have Coached Professionally on how to increase and improve peoples Health.

So when people come to me as a Life Coach – for Health Coaching, that is when I put my Health ‘hat‘ back on.

I started work as a Personal Trainer back in 1994 as a freelance and then added working in clubs from 1996. After 10 years I decided to take what I was already doing as a PT – which was helping people with their Health and Weight Loss Goals – and put it in to a new Company that specifically and only would do this.

I called the Company Easy Health, which had the tag line “Health – made easy!” in 2010 I expanded and became a Health Consultant in the public arena and then moved in to the private arena of Health Consultancy in around 2012 which is where I mostly work to this day.

What is Health Coaching?
It is helping people to experience a very natural state ( state of body and emotion ) – that modern living prevents from being able to be fully experienced.

Optimal Health is defined in medical dictionaries and in books and on the web as different things, but ultimatley the same thing, which is – in simple terms “ENERGY“.

When the body is at or close to 100% of ‘efficiency’ across all the systems of the body then a dynamic takes place in the Nervous system that results in a surge of new energy that you and I would feel as something akin to when we were in our early teens and just had the energy to run bout all day, not need much food and get by on limited rest etc…

As 20, 30 or 40 years go by and our bodies naturally slow down, this is made worse by out Lifestyle’s ( bad diets, little or no activity / wrong activity, stress etc… ) that compound the aging process – faster!

What most people call Health is actually a weak version of the true state.

Society lives in the belief that you are either sick or well, healthy or diseased. In reality there are a lot more states and stages than just 2! Health and Disease live together on a continually changing scale.

Real / True Health is a state few people get to experience. Or a state a lot of people only get to feel in snippets throughout their life. Health Coaching is a means to getting people to this place in the first instance and then keeping them there permanently in the second instance.

How do you know if you need Health Coaching?
Let me ask you some simple questions :

Are you generally feeling lethargic and weak during the day?

Are you looking to Increase your Energy levels?

Have you put on Weight and you want to lose that Weight?

Do you feel stiff or have aches around your body / for no apparent reason?

Do you want to feel Flexible and Agile and have more Mobility and Suppleness ?

Do you feel tired sometimes? too often?

Are you in your 30’s, 40’s or 50’s and you now feel different – a lot different! than you did in your 20’s?

Do you want to have that Alertness you had back in your 20’s?

Do you struggle to have the energy each day to stand or work for reasonably long periods?

… IF your answer to the above questions is mostly yes then I would surmise that your current level of HEALTH CAN DEFINITLY BE IMPROVED.

If you’re not convinced then ask ‘yourself’ the question :

“Are these states described in these questions – the standard I am willing to except for myself, MY body and MY Life when there are much higher levels that are accessible to me?

These questions I asked you about your Health represent ‘some’ of the many symptoms and effects of poor Health.

Unfortunately most people’s standard for Health is something resembling those questions believe it or not – whilst it is by no means ideal – it IS the accepted norm for most people.

Why? because most people have never or rarely experienced a true state of Health in their body so they don’t know any different!

The above example questions are, in part, effects of having a varying degree of toxic / sticky thick blood flow that is therefore low in oxygen ( as it can not absorb the oxygen correctly / fully ) and as a result creates a lowered immunity and is caused mostly by ingesting poor food stuffs and liquids over time and either not moving / exercising or not moving correctly ( exercising for fitness improvements at the expense of Health is common )

Blood flow should be free and fluidly, allowing for a full saturation of the blood of large quantities of oxygen via the haemoglobin in the red cells without hindrance.

I just want to clarify that here on this page on this site, I can not write every detail of everything as you can appreciate because it would be so long that you probably wouldn’t get around to reading this so I am cutting some things short. I am fully aware for example that some ‘conditions’ are genetic, that not every Health ailment is just because of toxic blood, that there are more factors contributing to Health than ‘just’ aerobic movement and that some situations, because of their nature, don’t lend themselves to simple approaches either.

What I am talking about is most people, most of the time, in the UK in the modern world we live in with the lifestyle imposed upon us, current Health problems previously described are the sum result of no or wrong exercise, poor diet and poor habits in general from posture to sleeping patterns.

These are the people, and this is where, my service has it’s value.

What Actually is Health?
In it’s most simplistic term it is E-N-E-R-G-Y

An abundance of Energy is the measure and the key to / of better Health.

When Health is optimised, you will experience an increase in energy levels … Period.

For example, Health is not having a jacket potato instead of chips, it’s not playing tennis twice a week, it’s not drinking diet coke, instead of regular coke! and it’s not just eating your 5 a day fruit & veg!

Surprising hu!

First of all, you need to understand that Health is not a ‘have’ or ‘don’t have’ thing. If you’re alive, you have Health. If you have a disease, you still have Health, but clearly less. Health and disease live together: we live on a constantly changing scale between the two.

( a disease by the way just means the body is not at ease / dis-ease. ‘Dis’ is just a pre fix for something considered to have or be a negative connotation)

So eating a jacket potato instead of chips or consuming lots of fruit and veg may push us one notch further in the direction of Health yes, but, ‘having’ a jacket potato or fruit does not in – and of itself – ‘create’ Health.

So how do you ‘create’ Health?
It is not done by some weird and peculiar actions that you must follow, or by eating never heard of before foods, or practicing some bizarre rituals etc… It is actually and surprisingly based on very simple principles and methods that the public simply are unaware of for the most part.

Nutrition is very important and relevant but it is not number 1 on the list. Moving / exercise / activity IS. Specifically ‘AEROBIC‘ activity is the fundamental key to Health. Everything else, including nutritional changes, are secondary.

Once the Aerobic activity is locked in to a persons life style, then Nutrition can be tweaked to reflect further Health improvements. Again might surprise you to know that the number 2 of most important factors that effects one’s Health is not a calorific based factor, ie: Proteins, Carbohydrates and fats. They come 3rd. What comes 2nd is a Nutritional factor yes, but I will leave you in some suspense for now as to what that is!

Interestingly, when most people attempt to increase their Health, traditionally, one of the first if not the first, and if not then the ‘only’ place they look at – is their diet. Statistics and data reveal this and it is therefore not surprising why Health improvements seem to delude people who try or, any Health improvements are minimal. They are missing the first and most important step. Better to get your activity right and then look at your diet, in that syntax. I recommend this for all of my clientele and have done for over 20 years now.

When you have a strong state of Health ( created primarily by correct aerobic exercise ) your physical body will experience an awakening! a surge of Energy, of Vitality, of Passion, of Vibrancy emanating through your being … Quite a feeling.

Through emotional re-balancing, physical activity-aerobic exercise, food, fluid, proper breathing and sunlight, Health can be restored or improved.

What’s the Problem?
I have an extensive career in the Health industry as mentioned previously. The premise of starting the Company ‘Easy Health’ was to teach and show people that improving Health was actually very easy to create and not complicated, more so however I wanted to show that this thing we call Health is a totally different reality – to fitness.

You see – the industry I grew up in was and still is to this very day called the Health n Fitness industry as I am sure you will be aware. This title bugs me big time. What is my beef with this seemingly harmless title? it makes a presupposition that is the underlying cause of a lot of Health problems, in that Health and fitness are in the same title and related much more than in reality – where they are not. Yes there is clearly overlap from one to the other, improving a fitness parameter will automatically have a knock on effect on Health and improve that and vice versa. BUT – it’s a big but – in the real world people neglect to see / understand that there IS A DIFFERENCE.

From this lack of acknowledging or recognizing this difference, comes all sorts of strange bizarre self concocted training regimes that people create – and – consequently the injuries, illnesses, burn out’s occur, not to mention the other layer in that – people just don’t get to accomplish their set goals …

Lots of people decide to lose weight as an example, yet they train under a fitness oriented regime instead and yes lose ‘some weight’ but not all, then they can not maintain their ‘difficult and demanding’ training so they stop, and the minimal lost weight – usually comes back and sometimes a little bit more even over the years. People who yo yo weight lose are classic examples of this scenario.

They begin a drastic un-maintainable diet and training program that they can not keep going for long so they have to stop – and the weight they lost – just comes back again. As a result the body resets the calibration of the metabolism to protect itself from subsequent shocks and so the weight instead of going down over the years, actually, goes up!

Health is more important than any fitness
Fitness without Optimal Health – can NOT be optimal fitness!

Am I making any sense here? I’m just trying to show that people – society as a whole – mostly / not all but the majority of people put their fitness before their Health and it creates a cascade of problems, or at least is an incredibly inefficient way to be / do / live on a regular basis.

I can tell you without any doubt whatsoever – the people who neglect to take care of the Health first and foremost, are the same people who experience / get injuries, illnesses, yo yo weight loss, wear n tear, ‘middle age spread’, drop in libido, medication dependence, age quicker than they should etc…

Health is a different type of training / exercise to fitness training. Health needs to be thought of as the base layer. The roots, the floor, the grounding. Once that is in place, then – only then – a second layer called a fitness improvement of some sorts / run faster / longer, lose body fat / weight loss, increase endurance etc… can be placed on top. Imagine not having the base ( Health ) or in the real world that base is weak – fragile – delicate – not reliable, how long does the ‘push‘ for the attainment of the sought after fitness improvement last – before the injury occurs? or the burn out set’s in? or the heart attack happens in the seemingly ‘healthy’ 40 year old playing tennis!!

Would you build your house from scratch on a known ‘collapsible piece of land’? … Hardly!

I apologise that I have gone on so long here but as I started by saying Health is a very important topic that is not understood by most people. My mission is to change that …

How to increase your income

A question I frequently get asked is ‘if you’re a Life Coach, how come you are helping people to make more money‘?

My answer is very simple – I am fortunate enough to be in the top 5% of the highest earners in the UK and top 10% Wealthiest in the UK. I went from being flat broke to a self made Millionaire.

I started life in a rented council flat, not even a house, and not owned! I left school at age 16 with no qualifications at all, didn’t go to college, Uni or any other higher education. I was worth nothing and had nothing.

I didn’t get there by luck, trust me! I don’t tell you this to boast either, I’m not that easily pleased! I tell you this so’s to give some validity to the content on this page you’re about to read.

To me, the opening question says a whole lot more than the content in / of the question itself, to me it says people are excepting of the fact that someone can help them with their Emotional problems or Relationship problems as examples in the area of Life Coaching but could not, can not, help them with increasing their financial worth in their life.

I find this rather odd. To help people with 1 area of life but not another, in my book, only leaves a gapping whole and a lack of money is definitely some BIG gapping hole is it not!

Around 95% of the UK population of 65 million, are either struggling in this area or are at least not happy and desire more money in their life. So if that means around 60 million people have an area of their life that they are unhappy about – WHY – does the Life Coaching profession, not address it?

There are various answers of course, I think one answer is that most Coaches are not financially wealthy and as such they would rather not go there so to speak so they don’t offer it as a service.

Teaching something to someone else does not work if the teacher is also the learner!

If I may, I would also like to point out that some of the traditional financial advisors on the high street are also not financially secure in their own life. I wish no one no disrespect here whether that be coaches or advisors, I am merely trying to point out that if someone wants to learn or be taught by another person about a particular skill or topic – than the teacher ought to be competent / successful in that topic – themselves.

This was my understanding and philosophy for all of my Life Coaching many years back when I started out, so I personally didn’t engage in the Financial Coaching context until I myself had mastered this area.

If you are interested in being Coached on how to create financial Security and Freedom for yourself and your loved ones, than the high street advisor is an option, self education is also another. For me, I decided to make it part of my range of services to the public early on so that meant since I didn’t have much of this resource, I had to actually go out – and create my Financial abundance from absolute scratch!

For others, Money – the making of more of it – can be a very complex and overwhelming area for the majority of people but –It doesn’t have to be like that!

My approach was ‘what if it could be made simpler?’ ‘what if people could be shown the way to create addional income appear in their own lives?’

Hence the Financial Coaching Service that I personally offer. I Coach individuals who have little money and would like to have more money coming in. I do not Coach people in the mid ground so to speak who are looking for / at a financial investment of some sorts. That is not my forte.

Financial coaching based on real-life experience!
My expertise comes from a real life situation – not a classroom setting or a situation where I am coaching people on increasing their finances while I am still poor! nor did I inherent my Wealth. I built my Security from scratch, from the bottom up, now I enjoy the Freedom it brings as well.

This is what I bring to the table for would be people looking to have more money in their life, I have been where most people are – lost or struggling – and now that I am way up stream, I can help others to navigate without drowning or getting hit by the rocks.

I firstly help the indidvidual to have the right conditioning on a psychological level about having more money in their life so that self sabotage and inconsistent actions are removed.

Secondly I then help the individual to physically create the extra money in their life, I formulate a strategy that involves vehicles / avenues that generate that additional income, whether that be a simple investment, savings plans, an additional business to their current job or whatever it is the individual wants / needs.

If your wondering what exactly is Emotional Coaching then let me ask you a few questions in order to explain it …

Do you want more Happiness in your daily Life then you currently experience? Do you want more Confidence in yourself and your actions? Do you want to feel Passionate about living instead of just feeling ‘okay’? Do you want to Laugh more in your Life?

It is working with a person on the Emotional part of themselves – to make the change desired – in the Emotional context. It is not a physical or an Intellectual context. It is not about your mind or your personality.

I grew up poor not just in the financial sense but in the Emotional sense too. However all the Successes I now have in my own life, have come from ‘me’ learning to manage and master my own Emotions early on.

For many years now I have Coached other people on their Emotional level to help them make the changes they seek.

Emotions are the controlling force of your whole Life
Control them or be Controlled by them!

What does this mean? Think about it this way – Why are Emotions SO Powerful? … ever been in Love!? ever been Scared? been Nervous? had a full on belly laugh? ever Cried? ever been Overwhelmed either by a problem or with Joy? Then you already know how much they effect you.

Compare those experiences to just having singular thoughts in your head in any moment – we would like to believe that our intellect is what drives us but the reality is – that it IS our Emotions that rule. They control for the most part – our behaviors and thus Actions.

You may intellectually know that a bridge or a red jumper or a walking in front of a crowd for example is nothing to be scared off yet, you will still uncontrollably react nervously when you are near a bridge, or you suddenly see a red jumper or your are asked to walk in the front of the room.

FEAR’S and Phobia’s are extreme Emotional reactions to triggers that got set up for a whole host of possible reasons, but objectively the simplest and quickest way to break them is to re-wire the associations in their neurology so the association of say the bridge changes to Calm, Balanced, Centred etc… ( states of resourcefulness ).

On a more day to day example that will help you to understand, someone who smokes cigarettes ‘knows’ ( intellectually ) they are very harmful to their Health and they really do want to stop but yet again, they find themselves ‘automatically’ / unable to stop ( control ) themselves reaching for a cigarette and putting it in their mouth whenever – they feel the states ( Emotions ) of boredom, stress, overwhelm, confusion, frustration, unhappiness or whatever the trigger is.

Why? because they are linked up Emotionally to the cigarette, not intellectually. So the change needs itself to be an Emotional intervention.

Just to give you an example of how this might work – talking to Jack about stopping smoking is an intellectual experience and it will likely do Jack sh*t ( pardon the pun ) however when I get Jack to hold in his physical hands a dead diseased toxic lung that was from a smoker and is black and smells putrefied – then Jack links up on an Emotional level a new association in his nervous system / Emotional side – to what a cigarette MEANS…. get it?!

Your Emotional links to the world / triggers around you ( sometimes called anchors in NLP ) are what control a large portion of our behaviors.

So if you want to change your behavior short term then using will power and positive thinking will do it, however, as you may know from experience, you eventfully go back to the old behavior – this is because your Emotional associations ( not intellectual ones ) have not changed.

Your Emotional conditioning does and will continue to effect you this moment and every moment till the day you die more than your intellect can does or will. It has been said, and I would have to agree, that Emotional Intelligence is the highest level of Intelligence there is.

Why else is Emotional Coaching important?
The reason is because it is one of the most important areas in Life to master by far. Everything you want to achieve, create, be, have or do will come from – emanate from– and only from, this skill set. Quite a statement to make but an accurate one. Outside of the above examples of ‘who may need Emotional Coaching’ even day to day living is fraught with obstacles and challenges, curve balls and stress for most people.

Thus learning how to manage your state / Emotion at any given time, in any given situation is number 1 on the list of what will effect your life the most, this day and at the end of where you have ended up. To be clear, addressing your Emotional well being is more important than Money, Relationships, Business, Career, even sometimes Health or any other area you care to mention.

Your Emotions for example deeply effect your Health physically, if creating additional income means you need to do a second job or you want to study the area of Money, then either will requires that you manage your states / Emotions especially when your feel tired or just don’t feel like following through.

If you can’t get yourself to follow through on the actions you need to take in any given situation then it is very likely that you will not achieve your outcomes. If you feel unhappy emotionally for whatever reason, and this creates problems in your personal relationship because you argue a lot then the quality of your Relationship is dependent deeply on ‘you’ managing your ‘Emotional’ state. The list goes on and on.

Most Important ‘Relationship’ … With Whom?

Let me start by asking you …

Do you know what the most important Relationship is that you have in your life?

Do you know ‘who‘ it is with?

The MOST important Relationship you have or will ever have – is with yourself.

Why?
When individuals come to me for Relationship Coaching, I ask them to identify what the issues and challenges are, that they are having, and with whom.

Most people will tell me that person X is the problem and that they want me to help them deal with person X. If you think about that sentence is it very revealing upon examination … The person in front of me – is asking me to help them – with a person not standing – in front of me!

If you follow logic I can not do that since that person they want the help with ( they believe ) is not there, so, what ‘can’ I do? – I help the person standing in front of me to communicate better – to the person not standing in front of me!

Invariably most people neglect to see that their communication both verbal and non verbal to someone else in the external world largely dictates the outcome. Or the quality of that Relationship in the first place at least.

So a large portion of my Relationship Coaching is focused first and foremost on the individual themselves. Improving communications with oneself – I have found – is a very effective way of improving any Relationship with any person that the individual is having.

Once handled, I then help the individual with the external communication / relating where applicable. That would naturally involve relationship barriers and issues with some of the people mentioned at the beginning of this page. Relationship Coaching sometimes involves group sessions of 2 or more people if the situation calls for it.

In any and all of my Coaching A always comes before B so to speak. You may have heard the phrase ‘you cant always control the wind – but you can control your sails in the wind’.

Well that is the point.

We are all members of society in some form or other. Most people will have the usual / varying types of Relationships.

That would be inter-personal, i.e. : with your intimate partner if you have one. With your children if you have them. With your parents and or siblings if you have them. With other relatives if you have them. Then you have your Relationships with your close friends or friends in general if you have them.

Then you have your Relationships with people in your work / business environment if you work. Then you have Relationships with any one and every one else not mentioned above.

There are of course lots of other definable contexts in life where you may have a Relationship based experience and there are other ways of defining who is who such as inner circle or outer circle of friends, close friends as opposed to just friends etc..

All the people mentioned above in the different contexts that they may be, are external Relationships ( communications with people in the external world ). These are people on the outside of you so to speak that you relate with. Meaning out side of ‘you’.

However one of the most common areas of Relationship Coaching that I deal with is with people who shy away from society, who are not in the above mentioned list, and who thus feel very isolated and alone ( lonely ), even afraid of meeting people or talking in public etc…if you think about it then Confidence building is just another way to describe Relationship building – with yourself.

Communication
Any Relationship is based on communication, so no matter what the scenario is and with whom it is, taking control of your own communications to yourself first is non negotiable if you want better Relations, only then can you communicate effectively / better / to the person in the external world you are attempting to improve your Relationships – with.

My years of experience in the Charity sector involved for example, 3 years direct work with the suicide help service – the Samaritans. Dealing with people who are calling to explain they are wanting / in some cases about to kill themselves is an extreme situation.

I can not tell you the protocol the Samaritans use for obvious reasons but suffice to say, you are limited to communication with that person – even though in that persons mind at that moment – they may believe the problem is with someone else outside themselves – thus causing / creating their suicide attempt.

My point is no matter what or with who a problem is / lies, communications to your self – your Relationship with yourself – first if not only – is the first line of action because you are 100% in control of that.

You can not be in control of any external factor to any significant extent so why base your efforts there, that would be something to consider secondly once the communications with yourself have been improved or mastered.

Who is Relationship Coaching for?
– Anyone who is having frequent arguments with someone else or different people

– Anyone who is finding it difficult to communicate their feelings or thoughts to another person

– Anyone who is contemplating suicide or harming themselves

– Anyone who is nervous speaking in groups

– Anyone who wants to get very good at communicating in public

– Any parent who is having trouble getting through to their kids and are concerned that they are losing their Relationship / bond with their children

– Anyone who feels intimated by a person in a superior position such as in business

What Job / What Area Should I Pursue?! or HOW do I progress in my Career?

Helping an individual to discover what it is that they would enjoy doing for 10 – 30 years of their life is not easy, in times gone by Careers were usually confined to a single field and the people spent often at times – their entire life in 1 spot.

Today is rather different in that it is common to change Careers at least twice sometimes 3 or more times during a life time, it is also not uncommon for people to have 2 Careers running simultaneously.

So making Career choices can be a challenge.

Choosing a Career is easy and anyone can do that by themselves. However, choosing the ‘correct‘ Career path for you is not easy and can for some people – at different times in their life – be daunting.

For example:

Sometimes young people simply do not have clarity on what profession they should take up and they therefore seek guidance out of desperation.

Other times it is people in their 20’s who did choose a Career path years before but now regret it and feel overwhelmed as what to turn to – to escape.

Sometimes it is people in their 30’s or 40’s who feel they need a Career change altogether after having worked for the last 15 + years in 1 role.

Different people at different times in their life requiring exactly the same guidance.

I Coach individuals to find out what it is they are good at and genuinely love to do – as well as ‘what are the other effects that a particular Career path will bring’? such as financial implications and quality of life / home life ripple effects etc…

Sometimes people are very good at something that unfortunately will not bring in the desired financial return they also want so there is conflict. If they take a different Career path to tick the financial gain box, it is at the consequence of being fulfilled and happy as they now are spending a large portion of their life doing something that is lacking the emotional tick.

A competent Coach can definitely help an individual to attain clarity and still keep congruencey with other parameters in their life.

Over the years my Career Coaching has involved working with youngsters at ages 15 or 16 about to leave school – all the way up to working with people in their 60’s believe it or not who are young at heart, have already had 3 Careers and decide they want something ‘different’ to do for the ‘next’ 20 years!!
