I am an experienced graphic and layout designer, illustrator, Photoshop retoucher and all round creative bod. I worked in publishing for 12 years and then branched out into the marketing world before deciding to go fully freelance.
I live by the sea, love my family, good food and wine, running and anything that gets my creative brain ticking.

Describe your creative process.
I initially speak with the client however they prefer best, Skype, call, email or face to face. We discuss what the project is and what they want at the end of the process. We then work through in detail how we will get there - main objectives, customer, purpose and then finish. Everyone has a budget so this is also important in the process to understand the end finish whether it is printed or digital. I can also help source printing.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I will firstly need to get to know you and your company, your ethos, brand and audience. Next I will need to know a deadline and what you need on this date - printed or digital. I will also need to know your objective, whether that is to get more business, sell something, attract new clients, whatever your end result is we will work to achieve this. Budget will play a role as if having products printed this will define paper stock and numbers required. What you will require - your brief, are you after a wall vinyl, bus back, advert, brochure.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the varied people I get to meet and work with. I love working with smaller to mid-range companies, they are passionate and dedicated and want only the best. One day I could be illustrating a dinosaur for a charity or a running vest then the next creating a billboard for insurance - however each job makes me smile as it is what I love to do, create something the client loves and then seeing it live!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked for 12 years in magazine publishing, a further 5 years in marketing and realised that I have got to the fortunate place in my career where I know what I know, love what I do and can share this with more people with the flexible hours I need with a young family. I can do the school run, run with my dog, work all day, coach at my running club then return to work. A full day done but when it fits. I am also more flexible for my clients so those last minute jobs can be completed as quick as required.

I have so much experience in a huge variety of design and can use this knowledge to suggest new ways of tackling a design. I know what works so can work quickly and I have a lot of happy customers who can credit this. I am passionate, quick and skilled in illustration and multiple design styles so you can be confident your end result will be as you envisaged.
