I had dermaplaning and the Caviar peel with Nichola who made me feel very relaxed before the treatment as I was quite nervous. I have worn a top denture since childhood and when reaching my fifties I began to have problems with it becoming uncomfortable and no longer fitting correctly, I had replaced it twice and still encountering problems that just seemed to be getting worse. After a lot of research I booked an appointment to see Basil at Crofton Dental Care, really for a second opinion, and from that day I never looked back. After consultation he explained why I was having the problems and the options open to me for a soloution, I decided to go for implants.I had a terrible fear of dentists stemming from childhood, this was taken into consideration and my treatment plan began. Because I had lost my teeth at such a young age I needed bone graph surgery on my top gum, this was the most invasive surgery and although the recovery period was sometimes uncomfortable, I never felt any pain at all, or through any of the treatments to follow, I always felt I was in very safe hands, not just with Basil but also the fantastic team of girls that work alongside him ( I feel I have new group of friends) More surgery and many more visits, my journey has lasted 8 months to date and I am now the proud owner of beautiful very natural looking front teeth, I no longer "half smile", I smile all the time ( at people I don't even know). I never ever thought that fixed teeth would ever be an option for me and I don't know how to thank Basil, Nicky, Jodie, Emma ( sorry if I missed anyone, and those I have yet to meet) they calmed my fears and I cannot recommend them all highly enough, they are a fantastic team, all very professional, kind and patient focussed, a great team that I look forward to going to visit now.Crofton is my new dental practice and I know I will never look at the calendar and dread to see that a visit is due.Basil says "confidence is a choice" and I say Thank you to Basil for helping me choose and restoring my confidence, and Thank you to the girls with him for holding my hand throughout the last 8 months.Love and big smilesJenny Merrett More...

My first experience of this dentist was today I have autism and have never felt so relaxed and actually wanted to be at the dentist I have to go back soon for wisdom teeth removal and have no fear at all calm environment and everything is explained in a slow manner everything was perfect for me

Really nice practice, very happy staff I almost enjoy going :D Crofton want to do a good job, so I’ll keep going unlike previous dentist Have had quite a bit of work done in the last 6 months or so and have always left feeling much happier about my teeth. Went to Crofton in agony, Bernadette Shipley filled a tooth and removed one on my first visit. Now pain free. You can even call Basil, (the owner) on his mobile over the weekend for advice. Brilliant, Thank you.

I have just had my implants fitted after 8 months of repeat visits the care I received was outstanding especially as I hate dentist and have a bad gagging reflex and can’t wear dentures thought I would never see teeth in my mouth again But I have teeth now and I can’t thank Basil Nicola Donna Emma and Jodie enough for the new confidence they have given me

As others before me, I have been terrified of dentists because of some bad experiences when i lived abroad. Basil and Jodie and even the lovely receptionist i chatted to beforehand have absolutely put my fears to bed after my visit last week. I had an extraction because Id left it far too long and this was my first visit here. I am petrified of dentists/hygienists, a childhood fear that won't go away. Basil, Hayley and the front of house ladies are lovely, patience beyond words and very understanding to my fears.
