Paul and his team will help you every step of the way and explain why, how and give you the tools to achieve. Also you will get advice on what to eat that will also get you where you want to be. Paul is friendly, motivating but not patronising. He and his team have the ability to explain the purpose of each exercice in order to help with my confidence and tailor to my abilities. The gym is well equipped and we are monitored regularly for progress to ensure the fitness program is suitable to our needs. I joined Compound Fitness at the beginning of October, I have exercised in the past but have found myself carrying excess weight after lockdown! What a warm and welcoming place, under current conditions very Covid safe. Both Paul and Fi very knowledgable and great at helping to achieve your goals. After my 4 week review and caliper measurements last week, I am extremely happy with the body fat % down 8.3%, fat mass down 7.2kg and lean mass up 4.8kg. What a shame that 2nd lockdown came just as I was finding my MOJO, however, Paul has strategies in place to keep us motivated, regular check ins, zoom classes, personal at home programmes and is always at the end of the phone. From the moment I found out about Compound Fitness, I was extremely excited and 5 weeks into my training programme, I still feel the same! I am so excited at the results I have accomplished within the first 5 weeks that I cannot wait to see the 12 week transformation. To give a sense of what you can achieve in just 2 weeks, I decreased my body fat by 4.3% and increased my lean mass by 2kg! All of this was achieved by Strength Training alone (and eating the right nutrition). Not only do I already feel physically leaner and stronger, I am also mentally fitter. Everything about Compound Fitness screams professionalism, drive, expertise and an overwhelming sense of support. Recommend compound fitness 100% Paul is excellent trainer knowledge is fantastic always there to help and to push u along, will deffo be stick with compound fi is great trainer, the atmosphere is brill can always have a laugh, I suffer fibromialgia and have gained 5st in weight I needed to something nothing as worked in past but here at compound I'm losing the weight feeling more and more confident every day and no that they are always there to help when needed, u have all information u could every want about nutrition regular weight and msssurements taken, so if u want to change your life this is definitely the place to be. .. I started the 12 week transformation in March and Paul was absolutely amazing. As a trainer he really knows his stuff and is so helpful if you need anything. He makes programmes that challenge you and push you to your limit, over my 12 weeks I lost just under 2 stone and dropped 2 dress sizes. Paul also makes you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. I wish I could do my 12 weeks all over again it was worth every second of sweat! I'm gutted I don't live in the Nottingham area (not really... �) as Marchy has an amazing gym but he has given me an unbelievable remote personal training program that caters for my lifestyle perfectly.
I've know Marchy for a long time and his expertise is 2nd to none.

In the past Paul came in to work with some of the top junior English canoe slalom athletes, to improve there strength and conditioning. As one of the coaches I found Paul very knowledgeable, and and could pass on this information very well. I can't rate Paul highly enough. Listened to my issues, current training plan and aspirations for the year ahead. He took this on-board and created an individual training plan. This was updated as I progressed. Great set up with clean and modern feel. All the clients were very friendly and Paul's knowledge is second to none. Paul trained me for some time in S&C as well as devising personalised workout plans for me to use independently in the gym. He was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure i was training to full potential to maximise my results. Paul has great technique and taught me all the fundamentals of S&C which is where my love for weight training began. I used to be a treadmill bore who hated the gym, Pauls S&C opened my eyes to a new way of exercising and enjoying fitness. I am now an ultimate addict! Paul is a very professional and knowledgeable PT who knows exactly how to get you the results you want! Each person has their own training plan which is monitored session by session and made tougher as you are achieving your goals. Cannot believe in how little time I have seen the results coming by my program being tailored to me and not a group

Fantastic - always challenging and always motivating. Love being outdoors, plenty of space to run around, plenty of space to through tyres around (! ), plenty of variety in that you are working different muscles (muscles you never knew you had!). All exercises adapted to suit beginners to pros. Paul really concentrates on technique so you know you are doing the exercise in the correct way, at least risk of injury. I have only been going 4 or 5 weeks but already notice a massive difference in muscular strength and endurance when on my bike and also my everyday posture. Brilliant! More...

Paul has really helped me to appreciate the benefits of strength training as a runner. Our personal training sessions have led to less injuries and improved race performances over the past 6 months. This has been achieved from a more efficient running form driven by being generally stronger and fitter than I have ever been.

Paul has been helping me to train for a particular endurance event for which I smashed my 'ideal world' predicted time and still felt great at the finish. I couldn't have asked for a better result.

Paul knows how and when to push you and will use a variety of approaches to keep things interesting, from outdoor boot camp style sessions, to gym work, to trail running.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Paul to anyone looking to really shake up their fitness or wanting to achieve big goals.

Compound Fitness studio. Love it.
I had a chat with Paul before my first session to discuss my needs and targets. Paul immediately understood what I was looking for and exactly how to approach my training. From the first session he was organised with plans for whether I train with him or if I’m in the gym alone leaving me with a great understanding of what I need to do even if he's not around. He was also great at explaining what each style of training was going to do for me. No training with Paul has ever become stale or repetitive as he always keeps me on my toes with differing approaches (something I need to do so my body doesn’t get used to the same old thing).
Paul also uses a little tech, he is able to monitor for my diet and weight with an app. Something I’ve always been rubbish at is detailing my diet but for some reason, as soon as I started using the app with him I found it a doddle to fill in (Always a quick few seconds to click the app before I check Facebook!)
The studio is a great area and has everything I need for my program. When I see others training in there I also see that Paul is able to deliver different training styles and approaches to suit everyone’s individual needs.

From newbies to the gym to those that have been going to gym's for years I fully recommend Paul and Compound Fitness Studio - Each session I feel I’m able to get closer to my goals and it’s all thanks to Paul and his approach to his clients.

I have struggled with my weight for many years. I was an active child and teenager doing sports like netball and boxing but I got ill in 2000 and never really took up exercise again until 2013 when I joined a spinning class in the attempt to lose weight for my wedding the following year. I suffered from some mental health issues, depression and OCD after I got married and unfortunately gained weight which had a negative impact on my health. I heard about Paul - Compound Fitness the results for some of his clients and I decided to meet him to see what he could do for me. I needed to get fit, lose weight and improve my state of mind and mental fitness so we talked and I explained this to Paul telling him my weaknesses, worries etc and I decided although a little nervous to give it a go.

Paul advised me to get a heart rate monitor so he could keep track of my heart rate through an app on my phone and said I would then be able to see how I was improving my fitness. I have my heart rate monitor on every session and there have been massive improvements in my fitness. My heart rate was always very high very quickly but over time this changed and it is now harder for me to get my heart rate as high as it once was most of the session and it doesn’t take long for it to drop again when I stop exercising unlike before. I have met some great friends too and train with a few of them regularly which varies my training by doing cardio and strength training.

Paul made me realise that getting my nutrition right was as important if not more so than training and encourages me to track my food and try and stick to a calorie controlled diet which he checks and gives me feedback on. By doing this it makes me accountable for what I eat as both of us can see what I am eating and whether I am making healthy food choices.

I am now a different person to what I was in September last year, I am fitter, more confident, more toned, eating healthier, and finally losing weight. I feel great and I cannot thank and praise compound fitness enough!

So I was going to leave a review after my 12 weeks are up but I’m just entering my 6th week of the 12 week transformation and I couldn’t wait any longer. .....the transformation I’ve noticed and other people have noticed already in myself is unbelievable....I’ve lost 19.7 inches all over, over a stone in weight, I have more energy, my confidence is rising, I actually feel good about myself, Ive never really liked or loved myself since leaving school (19 years ago), and its all down to Paul at compound fitness that I can see a change in my attitude towards myself! I couldn’t of done this without him!!! Thank you Paul!

The dedication and support he’s shows towards everyone is amazing, he truly is a credit to his profession!
When you join, you don’t just join a gym you join a family!

Not only do you get a fantastic bespoke workout (as no 2 people are the same in their needs) but you get help with your nutrition but most importantly you get support....even with the littlest thing, even if you think it’s silly, he will always make time to listen and advise.

I can not begin to say how appreciative I am. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It took me right past the edge of my comfort zone hitting that ‘learn more button’ but looking back i wish I’d of found it sooner I’ve always struggled with my weight and confidence but I can say 100% I won’t be leaving after my 12 weeks are up (sorry Paul you’re stuck with me for a long time now lol) I plan on pushing myself to the limits and then some! I am turning into a whole new person and I’m loving it!!!!!

I joined the team at CF to add some Strength and Conditioning work to my cycling training. From the very first session I felt at ease and was very comfortable in what Paul was advising me to do. He has a great understanding about not only the needed exercises, but also individual needs and all round training advice. Great and very motivational both physically, mentally and emotionally. I thought that it wouldn’t work as I’m stubborn, overweight and totally unfit! In 4 weeks, I can now walk up and down Lincoln steep hill without breaking a sweat and this time last year, I walked up this hill once and thought I was dying . I’m just entering my 5th week of the 12 week transformation and so far I have lost 1st and 5lbs. 32.2cm over all. (A little be more now) I’ve tried slimming world, weight watchers and most diets. Used every excuse to avoid gyms or exercise. I turned 40 in October and decided I was going to do something about my weight, the best thing I did was fill in the application for the 12 week transformation. My first meeting with Paul I felt nervous and thought why I’m doing this. I was honest about how I was feeling and about how unhappy I was for being over weight and unhealthy. Paul immediately understood, with that I left and got my first session booked. my confidence has grown, I actually feel good about myself for the first time in a long time. Dropping a dress size in the first 2 weeks felt amazing, along with the comments on how I was beginning to look was a real confidence boost. This is all down to Paul at compound fitness, I couldn’t of done this without him!!! Thank you Paul! You get a workout that suits you, While in the gym Paul gets to know you and will watch your progress so that your programme is a changed the right stages. There is also support online for you and the other compound fitness members are supportive offering advice or encouraging you while in the gym. I've been attending PT sessions for 3 weeks now and I'm absolutely loving my workouts at Compound Fitness. Paul and his team have listened to my goals and tailored a program to suit me. The fitness suite has some brilliant equipment and I'm trying things I've never attempted before. Everyone is really friendly and Paul creates a fun & motivating atmosphere.
