Having worked with Code wizards on an SSO (Single Sign On) solution, they also never fail to identify ways we can accomplish our outcomes, and do it in a way that feels very inclusive. Where off the shelf systems can't match your requirements, they are able to offer practical ways to achieve your goals through various coding solutions. Haven't yet experienced an area they are unable to offer solutions. They certainly know their stuff and I would highly recommend them where off the shelf doesn't work, and data integration is necessary. Services

What are esports?

Esports is one of the fastest growing sectors.

For the uninitiated, this is the playing and viewing of videogames competitively.
Much like traditional sports, there's involvement at every level; from grassroots to professional if you want to play. If you prefer to watch esports then there's a lot of content streamed (in realtime in Twitch, Mixer and Caffeine), saved (on platforms like YouTube) and in physical venues (like Wembley Arena!).

See our esports Blog posts for more information.

What can Code Wizards do?
Having esports is great but it's no use if it's not integrated into your game, your platforms, your login/registration (SSO/account services) or apps.

We're experts at integrating: reducing friction for the player, ensuring they engage as closely as they can with you, and making the whole thing fun.

Games can be linked to results are automatically fed into the platform so playing data and the results (+ adjudications) are all fed into the esports platform.

Platforms typically benefit from bringing the action into your environment. Leaderboards and results are automatically updated, tournaments and competitions can be easily visible to everybody, and people can enter the competitions without having to jump through hoops.

Account services/Single Sign-On allows players to update their esports data directly within their profiles alongside their users. They log in the same but they can add their social identities, gaming identities, avatars, and preferences centrally. In this way you're in control: if somebody leaves and you remove/hold their account then that automatically feeds into the account services and stops them logging in. You manage your own userbase.

Apps can bring all the above together putting esports directly into the hands of your users/players.

Access Management Solutions
In the old days, we expected everything to be on a single website. In those days everything was simple: we gave each user a username/email address and password and expected them to login and use it.

These days things are much more complex; even a single application can be comprised of multiple parts and a single business user will use myriad applications in a single day.

The naive approach to this is to share username/email and passwords but this leads to massive security issues and common data is shared too widely.

We've helped a lot of clients by adopting a "single sign-on" approach using industry best practice secure technologies like OpenID Connect ("oIDC").

Imagine you have a website that your customers log into and another where they manage their eLearning. By adding a single sign-on (SSO) we can easily secure the customer's data and share the applicable bits with each application. You can then even add other applications (for example a scheduling application) outside of your organisation without having long discussions about data sharing and security purely by using an SSO!

We have templated SSOs to help build your requirements quickly and securely. For example, our Access ThankQ SSO ties into ThankQ automatically allowing you to manage your customer's data within ThankQ but share with other applications immediately using the power of OpenID Connect.

Get in touch - we'd love to speak to you about it!

At Code Wizards we know making our client's life easier is always welcome.

Our CRM integration tooling and experience allows this to happen.

It's often the case that you want to effectively market to your consumers based upon their behaviors and preferences. When a user signs up for your website, you want to ensure they get the right information and welcome email, that you follow up on that inquiry automatically and that your reports show what's happening.

Whether you want CRM for sales pipelines, for more effective communication to your customers (and potential customers) or so you can understand your business and forward plan, we can help.

Due to improvements in AI and computing speeds, we're now able to begin the robotic automation revolution.

For decades we've been promised advanced control and automation; however software vendors have been loathing to add comprehensive programmability/APIs to their products, so integration has been difficult.

Although not limitless RPA provides a mechanism for many repetitive jobs/tasks to be automated more efficiently and cost-effectively.

How does RPA work?

RPA allows us to pretend that a human worker is performing tasks on a computer. Perhaps this could be a Windows programme (like excel or access), an API or programming interface or even a webpage/web application.

Flows are created that map a human process like opening a website, searching for a person, finding their contact details and copying and pasting those into another system (see the examples part below).

RPA is powerful because the flows can be very complex and handle small errors without the process of stopping. They can also use AI techniques to read images from screens (what we used to call "OCR" - Optical Character Recognition) to read text data that isn't directly computer readable.

Are there any Limitations?

Yes, due to the current state-of-the-art for AI and how we integrate systems, we can model most processes that don't require human evaluation or fundamental knowledge. For example, we can't accurately "fuzzy" match records as efficiently as humans or make qualified decisions like whether we should hire a new employee for instance.

Also, some systems are full of difficult to process data and can be difficult to encode as an RPA process. As a rough rule of thumb if 80% of your process is automatable, then it's a good candidate for RPA.

Lastly, not all APIs can be managed using RPAs efficiently because of the integration costs/difficulty or because the data volumes are too high (i.e., there is too much data).

RPA Examples

We've used RPA to.

- Migrate data between systems (and synchronization of two systems) without requiring either system to have specific import or export functionality

- Retrieve LinkedIn data for clients to integrate into their CRM systems

- Run and process importing of data from other clients (for example; digital codes are sent via email, these are automatically picked up and inserted for resale by the retailer - saving human costs and reducing a security risk for the product)

What if RPA isn't viable?

Code Wizards are a digital engineering team, so where we can't use RPA for all of the requirements, we can use our considerable experience to build other integrations directly into APIs or to retrieve data.

A number of our projects utilise a hybrid of RPA and dedicated integration engineering to allow the best efficient, cost-effective and scalable solution for the customer.

How will I know the best solution?

Our preferred approach is to work with each client to understand what they truly need from the solution and what would be a great stretch target.

This discovery piece is usually enough to understand whether RPA is a good fit or whether other integration / automation technologies are better for you.

Usually we can have a good idea after a brief phone/video call. So, where you think RPA can help you, just give us a call.
