Emma Cockcroft at Claire Holland interior creations has been absolutely brilliant and has helped us design our remodelled home to give it the WOW factor! Emma had a very nice approach, she really took the time to understand our tastes and what we wanted and came up with some fantastic ideas and solutions, many of which we would not have chosen ourselves but have worked so well. Emma went above and beyond in her role to make sure we were completely satisfied with the end result, often taking us on field trips to see and choose certain products first hand and she also communicated well with our builders and kitchen suppliers. Even after all the fees have been paid, Emma has kept in touch and will be visiting the house to help us dress it up. Emailed Clare about a year ago and said I was at my wit's end. I have no design bone in my body, can appreciate beauty, but have no idea how you get from A to B so Clare suggested Emma Cockroft, one of her team, would be a good fit for my needs. She was 100% right, Emma came round and managed not only the delicate balance between teasing out what ideas I did secretly have residing in my brain, but also knowing when to make executive decisions when I didn't have a clue. She also project managed it for me which was worth its weight in gold as I ended up being absent for almost the whole project. Emma adjusted admirably around my complete lack of understanding and now I have a stunning house which flexes around the multiple use I put it to, is comfortable, welcoming and even more than I'd hoped for! Clare put me in touch with Emma Cockroft, a member of her team, who designed and project managed the total overhaul of 3x rooms in my house. Given the layout of my house that was a hell of a job including living room with music/cinema nook, hallway and landing and a guest-room/study! Now I have no idea about interior design, I got in touch after a year of living with a cut-up hallway carpet because I couldn't even pick that. Emma arranged everything and stayed in touch with my busy household while I was away on business - which ended up being the entirety of the project period and Emma ended up going above and beyond as I was not around at all. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. their interior designer was absolutely fantastic. She actually spent time getting to know us, getting to know exactly what we wanted, what styles we liked and disliked and came up with a design that matched our brief to perfection. She has made such a difference to our home, and allowed us to create a look that we would never have been able to achieve on our own. She kept within our budget, and at no point did we feel pushed to spend more. She always listened to our views, and our feedback, and acted in accordance to our wishes. It is my pleasure to write a review for Clare Holland Interior Creations (CHIC). I worked with Emma, one of the designers, to help re-design my lounge and dining room, which is a generous 'L' shaped space.
However, due to the shape I have always struggled to make best use of the space and the 'L' has never felt useful or connected. I had a clear idea of what I did and did not like, but just did not know where to start. I was attracted to CHIC by their website and clarity over the costs of their service. Just to clarify, I am not someone with a massive purse, or used to using interior designers (this was the first time) - I wasn't sure quite what to expect.
What a positive experience from start to finish. Emma worked with me, helping me bring my dreams to reality. She has such a wealth of ideas and experience, with such creativity and vision. She helped me to consider ideas that I would never have thought about on my own. She gently challenged me when my ideas did not 'fit' but always respected my views as the client. I know I am 'fussy' and sometimes find it hard to make decisions, but she was always patient and supportive throughout. Together we developed a plan for the space and colour scheme and Emma helped bring this to life. We set a budget to work within and although we went slightly over this at the end, this was entirely down to some of my choices.
If you are thinking about whether or not to justify the expense I would say go for it! It has been worth every penny. I would never have got there on my own. I have rooms that would justify inclusion in any interior design magazine whilst still feeling homely and comfortable. I cannot recommend highly enough. Elegant and truly CHIC!! I am delighted and just LOVE the result. Thank you Emma and Clare!!

My designer Emma was great, she took time to help me work out what I needed from the space and what my tastes were. She then used this information together with her expertise to offer me choices and advice. She was always positive, enthusiastic and generous with her time, and gave me loads of practical help as well. We chose the project management option and it was marvellous, Emma sourced tradesmen, oversaw the work and dressed the room at the end of the project. We found Chic on the Internet & were allocated Emma as our designer. We hit it off with her straight away & she quickly learnt how to work alongside us. She was very patient & professional & drew on our home & garden to come up with a design suitable for us. She had some good contacts & came up with some good prices for our lounge/staircase/landing project. We had a few blips, mainly with damaged goods arriving via on line buying. We found the ordering & returning of damaged goods the worst part of the whole project. In the main the workforce she employed were very good & although the whole project seemed to take a long time, we are highly satisfied with the end result. More...

We'd never used an interior designer before, but the experience we had with CHIC certainly validated our decision to use a designer for our sitting room. Emma was assigned to us and was helpful from start to finish. Right from the initial meeting it was very collaborative, with Emma taking time to understand our requirements. Then when the final boards were presented, we loved the suggestions put forward. We approached Clare when we knew we were moving into a new build house and wanted help with furnishing the house especially as we weren't prepared to pay the builder the prices quoted by them. After looking at the plans as the property was still being built and then gaining access to it to confirm measurements, Clare diligently went about drawing up plans, keeping us fully updated as to where she was and sourcing furnishings in line with our budget, especially furniture we knew we'd have to look at and buy to be ready for when we were looking to move in.The work put in was of the highest standard and Clare was always very approachable throughout the process.Wonderful service from a person who is clearly passionate about her work.Well done!! Have never used an interior designer before but needed something to kick-start my lounge refurbishment which had severely stalled. I picked CHIC as I found the website the best of the ones I looked at for clearly stating what was offered and the giving a cost for each package. I am so pleased I did, the whole experience has been an extremely positive one from start to finish. Clare is friendly, warm and very easy to talk to whilst at the same time extremely professional. She is quick to interpret your requirements but also adds ideas that you may not have considered. She clearly loves what she does and this shows in her work, the final report which she provides is extensive and her attention to detail is remarkable. I chose Clare from Yell because she was one of the only Interior Designers that had a logo made and displayed.I was not disappointed. Clare took on two large projects simultaneously. She designed and managed the refurbishment of both of my veterinary premises in Derby and Allestree.Clare is extremely dedicated, hard working and repeatedly goes above and beyond her call of duty to ensure excellent results.
