Charlotte's Cake Company

Charlotte made a beautiful, utterly delicious two tiered cake for our December micro-wedding. We knew we wanted something simple, elegant, and a little festive as a nod to the season, so Charlotte did a rustic buttercream finish with handmade pine cone, pine needle, and holly sugar decorations. We were a bit vague on flavours, but Charlotte had a wide selection to choose from and we settled on chocolate for the top tier and raspberry with white chocolate ganache for the bottom tier. Both were fantastic, and probably the only time we were glad we had so few guests as more cake for us! We particularly appreciated how Charlotte handled the design process. We sent a few ideas and pinterest images back and forth, and then had a zoom consultation, and we really felt that Charlotte listened to and elevated our ideas. After the disappointment of so many postponements and restrictions, the cake really helped make the day feel special. We will definitely commission another one for our first anniversary (and also the next birthday). More...

Charlotte made a birthday cake for my fiancé and absolutely nailed it. The attention to detail of the decoration was amazing, with every aspect of the design well thought through. She also made me feel part of the process and went the extra mile to ensure the cake was suitable for someone with a nut allergy. The chocolate cake inside was super tasty and moist also. I was lucky enough to have two cakes made by Charlotte for two separate friends birthdays. The first was all chocolate and decorated with sugar flowers - the cake tasted amazing, it was lovely and moist and not overly sweet. The sugar flowers were the best I'd ever seen! We initially thought they were real flowers and tried to take them off the cake before we realised they weren't! Her flower making skills are something else! The second cake was a red velvet which again was so good! I left the decorations up to Charlotte and she delivered two amazing looking cakes! The process was easy, smooth and worth every penny! Charlotte helped our wedding cake dreams to come true in a way that far exceeded our expectations. Every question was answered and we were rewarded with a beautiful cake using my own bespoke bouquet as her inspiration - I could almost smell the wattle and eucalyptus leaves, who knew Australian flora could taste so good! If you want someone who can work with sugar flowers or decorations I couldn't recommend her more. Every guest commented on how tasty our cake was and my husband and I are still enjoying some with coffee as it freezes beautifully. Charlotte made a last minute cake for our small wedding celebration. She was a real pleasure and very easy to work with, explained in detail how the cake will be made and sent us some design sketches to choose from. Cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious!
