What inspired you to start your own business?
Scott - Founder, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter
Dedicated to his passion and adoration for animal care, he founded Charlie & Friends in 2017. Ever since, he has been providing loyal and loving pet care to the Greater Manchester area. He prides himself on patience, kindness and competence — and our clients would agree. It’s why so many of them use our services on a regular basis. No job is too big or too small for him to handle. With a vast knowledge of canine behaviours, canine communication, training skills, being canine first aid trained, and having years of experience under his belt, your pet will be well looked after with Scott. His love for dogs and animals started at an early age when he would always help his mum with the family dogs, and at weekends and in the school holidays he would also help his sister with her 20 Pomeranians. From feeding them, to walking them, to helping out at dog shows, it was something he always loved doing.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow all government guidelines. We wash and sanitise our hands regularly and use our own leads.
Dog Walking
There is no better place than the great outdoors! Our group dog walks are brilliant for socialisation, confidence, mental stimulation and exercise. We take up to six dogs per dog walker to a large park. We play fetch and walk around, so that each dog can exercise their senses, stimulate their minds, and socialise with their friends. All walks last one hour, and we walk whatever the weather. The time your dog will be with us, including their walk, collection, and drop off, will be approximately 90 minutes to two hours each time. We always make sure any muddy paws are given a good cleaning before dropping them back off.
Our price includes collection from home or the office, the one-hour group dog walk, and then drop-off at home or the office.
Puppy Visits
Our puppy visits are ideal for puppies that can’t go outside just yet or on full walks. We can pop round to feed, change puppy pads, take them to the toilet and give them some much needed attention while you’re busy working.
Pet Taxi
Our Pet Taxi is perfect if you don’t have time or if you just need transport to get your pet to the vet, doggy day care, pet sitters, cat sitters, dog groomers, or even the grandparents' house. Individual circumstances can also be discussed. All journeys are subject to additional charges depending on the areas travelled to and if there are waiting times. Due to licensing laws, we are only permitted to transport your pet.
Cat Sitting
We absolutely love cats and we know they would prefer to stay in their own home instead of a cattery or someone else's. Are you going on holiday? Are you going to be home late? Do you need the cat fed? Our cat sitters can pop round to feed them, give them fresh water, clean out their bowls, check their litter and give them some much-needed attention. You will also get the added bonus of having your home checked to make sure it stays safe and secure whilst you are away. We can close curtains and turn lights on if you would like us to do so. It doesn't matter if you have more than one cat, as long as we can complete what you need us to do in 15 minutes. If you think our visits will take longer, we can provide you with a quote.
Pet Sitting
Our pet sitting visits are great for animals such as guinea pigs or rabbits. If you're going away or going to be home late, there's no need to worry. Our pet sitters can pop in to feed them, give them fresh water, and clean up any mess they may have made. You will also get the added bonus of having your home checked to make sure it stays safe and secure whilst you are away. We can close curtains and turn lights on if you would like us to do so. It doesn't matter if you have more than one small animal, as long as we can complete what you need us to do in 15 minutes. If you think our visits will take longer, we can provide a quote.
Home Visits
Has your dog just had an operation? Are they feeling under the weather? Maybe they're a bit older and can't do the long walks they used to? Are you going to be home late from work? Whatever the reason, our home visits will be a great help. We can pop round to check on them, feed them, let them go to the toilet, and give them some much needed attention if you can't be there when they need you.
