Chanj is a warm, knowledgeable and patient yoga teacher. She creates yoga sessions based on her client needs and as a client of hers for a couple of years now, I know I have benefited enormously from her classes. Chanj incorporates mindfulness into every pose and explains how each posture and breath is benefiting the body. I really enjoy Chanj’s classes. More...

Chanj is a great yoga teacher. Not only is she really calm but she makes you feel very calm regardless of whatever else you may have going on.
Chanj is extremely knowledgeable and the way she teaches makes you feel good about learning whatever level of yoga you may currently be at. She’s also very good at tuning into what’s appropriate for you.
I always finished a session with Chanj feeling great ….not only physically but mentally too.
I’d definitely recommend giving her a try!

Chanj’s yoga sessions are really great and the convenience of doing yoga from home with her online sessions is a great help for someone like me who works from home a few days a week - she is a good instructor and for me her sessions help me be more flexible it is just the right yoga pauses and deep breathing stretches etc that help me.

Q&As

The reasons I love teaching yoga are vast. Mainly I love the work I do because Im able to spend my time and energy on something that fills my heart and soul.
I enjoy teaching students and seeing them reconnect with themselves. Yoga facilitates an experience of the self and opens us up to our own potential and boundless possibilities.
Its amazing to see students experience yoga, when they embody the pose, when their minds are focused and still and their breath is flowing seamlessly through their bodies - this is when they experience the true essence of yoga.
Most of all I love being of service to others. I believe in the transformative, healing, rejuvinating, restorative and uplifting powers of yoga. I’m driven to support and encourage people to step on their mats and keep returning back to their practice.
I feel by supporting my students I’m making a positive difference in their lives.
While practicing yoga is incredible, teaching yoga softens my edges and brings me into the present moment in the way practicing yoga often doesn’t.
Personally there’s something so inspiring about seeing a group of people consciously come together to nourish their own physical and internal well-being.

My personal journey started in my 20’s when I needed to manage my own stress levels and I was feeling very burnt out. I realised the more stressed I became the more disconnected I felt from my own body. This kick started my own interest in yoga and meditation and I immersed myself in various yoga practices and mindfulness techniques where it became my daily practice.
Alongside my yoga and meditation practice I also spent 15 years working full time in a high pressured corporate job. Whilst managing feelings of depression, stress and anxiety the regular practice of yoga and meditation kept me balanced, connected and calm.
In 2017 whilst working full time, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training qualification, from there I began teaching and sharing my knowledge with co-workers and introduced a mindfulness culture of yoga and meditation within the work place. I started teaching regularly and even taught yoga and mindfulness sessions on away days. The feedback I received from these sessions was extremely positive and the benefits my teachings were having on other peoples lives made me realise this was the start of a new business venture for me.
My mission is to provide support for individuals looking to breathe, stretch and regain a healthy balance in their day to day lives; to reduce stress and anxiety and help them re-connect with their bodies through the practice of yoga and meditation.

Services

A one hour class includes series of poses each held for five to ten breaths. Vinyasa yoga is characterised by stringing postures together so the student can move from one to another, seamlessly using the breath.
The variable natire of vinyasa yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion which can happen if you’re doing the same postures in each class.

Yin Yoga is a slower paced, more meditative yoga practice. In Yin Yoga the poses are held for a longer period of time (typically 3 to 5 minutes longer) in order to target and stretch the connective tissues in the body (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on building the muscles. As a result each posture is more passive with little muscular engagement, but a deeper overall stretch.

Restorative yoga restores the body to relax the parasympathetic nervous system, which in turn helps the body, rest, heal and restore balance mentally and physically.
By allowing time to hold longer postures, practiced along with deep breathing, restorative yoga will help the student feel relaxed, bringing a sense of calm and clarity.
