I cannot recommend this place enough, from the moment I contacted them, I felt at easy. Diana and Dave truly care for the all the animals. They have looked after my two puppy labs several time and already book to go back in October. Nothing is too much to ask of them. I would email a lot on holidays to check on them and I was always updated. My dogs are always happy to go. I would not want my dogs to go anywhere else but here. I left my 2 GSD furbabies with Diana and David for almost 3 weeks ,my boy went with an ear infection ,talk about timing! Diana ensured he had his meds and when my vet contacted me with the results of his swabs his medication had to be changed so I arranged for them to be delivered to the kennels and Diana was only too pleased to administer them! she also monitored the infection and contacted vets for more!This family of carers go above and beyond when it comes to looking after your precious furbabies! I know that my babies will never board at any other kennel ! Cartref is the best home from home for my babies ! I have to leave my dogs for 2 months and I chose Catref boarding kennels&cattery after having a look at their place. It was so brilliant , both of my dogs were happy and healthy with good care from them. The people there are so nice and they walk my dog 3 times a day,play with them and send me photos of my dogs every week while I was back to China spending some time with my family.And I have to say I am really happy and thankful for everything. My 1 year old labrador x lurcher and my 20 month old Labrador stayed here for a week. I was nervous about leaving my dogs as they had never been in kennels before but they were absoloutly fine. I messaged every couple of days to check on them and I had replies to every message I sent to say how they were doing. I have just picked up my boston terrier baby's from a weeks stay with Diane and Dave.We were so apprehensive about putting the 2 in kennels as they still only pups but my mind was put at ease as soon as I met Diane and Dave they are animal lovers through and through and they bend over backwards for our pets day in day out. They emailed me everyday with pictures and updates as promised.My one boston was so nervous when I dropped her off and today when I picked her up she has so much confidence.. they were so pleased to see us when we approached there kennel block( oh so I thought as soon as Diane went in they were all over her ) this just goes to show for me that my girls have had the best care possible and for us as a family the decision is already made they will forever return to cartref ...thank you guys so much it really does mean alot how you go the extra mile for other people's animals.Evie and Rosie are very grateful too More...

We were really lucky to have found Cartref kennels, Mostyn our Welsh terrier has clearly been in the best of hands. The staff are very caring and I would highly recommended to anyone who wants to ensure their dog is looked after properly while they’re away.

Just picked up my two greyhounds after a long weekend stay. What a beautiful place, lovely friendly owners and exceptionally clean. My male greyhound has Cushings Disease and can be a bit a down at times. He was bouncing this morning and very happy , testament to the care he received during his stay. My Rottweiler Mackie stayed at Cartref last August for a few days and came home happy and it was obvious he'd been very well looked after. Animal lovers!! Our dog Jess had never stayed in a kennel before so we were understandably apprehensive. After visiting many kennels where Jess would stay while we were away on holiday, only Cartref stood out for us. Dave and Diane were genuine animal lovers. They made us feel at ease and met all of our needs. Jess took time to settle in they reassured me with updates as requested when we were away. Jess had a few issues and not surprisingly Diane won her over and cared for her needs. Very impressed with the care Jess received. We would definitely use Cartref again and would also recommend! They looked after my 2 dogs while on holiday, you get to take your dogs to their kennel and pick them up so you can see it's clean and tidy and your dogs will be treated well. Very nice people running the kennels also. More...
