(Summary / tl;dr version: failed to provide experience, cancelling on several people after keeping them waiting for 3 hours, offered no recompense for lost travel money, ruined my blind fathers 80th birthday gift and were poor communicators who only refunded the payment when the company overseeing the experience got involved)

Full version:

Drive cancelled 3 hours after start of event in a manner that showed a total lack of true empathy for ruining my blind dad’s 80th birthday present from us. It is devastating to be turned away from such an event. We had travelled 200 miles to the experience (a 400 mile round trip in total). About 10 or 15 families suffered the same treatment at this event.

Poor communication followed at every front after that. CCH required attendees to make contact for recompense - rather than just refunding people as a matter of course (they had all our details to be able to do this). However, they hadn’t bothered to put maternity cover on for the Ablenet Account and so had no one available to speak to when we rang the number we’d been told to. They took a week to call and then swiftly stopped responding to emails / never called back despite having promised to do so on more than one occasion… showing how much Ablenet customers are valued by them – i.e. not at all.

There was continued failure to refund payment for the event / offer recompense for travel. Ablenet simply passed us onto CCH who never once offered to refund the money for an event they hadn’t provided.

Finally we managed to get a refund but ONLY by going through Track Days – who were absolutely great. With Track Days involved, CCH refunded the money within 2 working days.

So, CCH treated a pensioner terribly and didn’t care enough about it to communicate properly and, whilst the experience days are wonderful (if still chaotic) when they work properly, I would never book with them again, as it just causes too much heartache and unnecessary work. I would strongly recommend you avoid them.

If you want a blind driving experience, with more time spent behind the wheel, where you are not treated as a mere commodity, use ‘Driving Ambition, Brackley’ instead. No supercars, but an amazing day. More...

I would recommend avoiding. Customer service is terrible and completely unprofessional. I bought experience vouchers initially. We couldn't use these when we were first booked in due to Tom Hamks filming at Abingdon airfield (which over ran). Ended up paying extra to upgrade to a different car on a different date. Then we couldn't go as we tested postive for Covid. But we were told that Covid was not a reason to not attend despite trying to advise them before (you can't get hold of them after 4pm on Friday up to the day it was booked on Sunday). We would have to pay another fee to re-book. Should have just gone with Covid and passed it on to everyone! Still trying to argue with tyhem but £100+ is gone and my children didn't get their Christmas present. More...

Avoid at all costs if using a Buy A Gift Voucher!!

My partner received a buy a gift voucher from his mum for Christmas, we booked his experience in and then a couple of days before we had an email to say that the experience has been cancelled because the car failed its safety checks - Not our fault at all. The company are now refusing to re-book the experience because the voucher will be out of date...it wasn't out of date when we booked it and its not our fault the car failed its safety checks! This was a MASSIVE let down. Each lap takes about a minute and you don't really get up to any decent speeds as there are so many other cars on the track. You spend hours waiting around for your next turn in a car. The car I wanted to do was the DB5 and had no interest in any of the others. It broke down and they said they can substitute but no refunds. I asked one of the instructors and they said it happens all the time. If it happens all the time then find a better solution. They herd you around like cattle shouting out with megaphones, charge you extra for everything, make you wait for hours. The one car I did go in was scummy as hell. Blendini Motorsport LTD trading as Car Chase Heroes is a very well organised supercar experience company, which hold regular Supercar, American muscle car or truck driving experiences across the UK.

After receiving my surprise Car Chase Heroes gift from my family, I had the wide choice of locations to choose from & supercars to drive.

My gift was the three car experience with a high speed passenger ride.

I think from memory there was around 28 supercars & American muscle cars to choose from. I made my car choices through the Car Chase Heroes website for the iconic Ford GT40 in a similar livery to the Gulf Racing Le Mans winning classic, Nissan GT-R NISMO which reportedly does 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds & the Ariel Atom 3.5R which apparently does 0-60mph in 2.4 seconds!

Once I had made my location, date, time & car choices I had the option to pay the incident/accident waiver fee of £25 & then I was all set & ready to attend.

On arrival at my chosen location I was surprised to see how many cars were in the free car parking area & how many individuals had attended the experience.

At the main entrance near to the car park there were several chemical toilets, hot & cold food & drinks outlet, signing in trailer, drivers debriefing marquee & supercar photography & in-car video experience trailer.

After a few minutes having a look around I attended the signing in trailer & welcome desk & the staff were very apologetic for the 20 minute wait. However, the wait didn’t bother me & I was unfortunately informed of a technical fault with the Ariel Atom & that I wouldn’t be able to drive it but I was given other supercar options to drive or to return at a later date. So I opted for a later date.

I was then informed that I would have to attend a drivers debrief which went through safety & car info.

Then it was approximately an hour wait until my first drive which you’re called to attend & take a seat, your instructor will meet & greet you when the car is available, and he or she will then take you to your car & give you enough information about the car & how to drive it.

My instructor (Max) was absolutely fantastic in the Ford GT40 & was very accommodating & cheerful. The GT40 is fantastic vehicle & I really enjoyed driving it.

After driving the GT40 I had around a 20 minute wait until my next drive in the Nissan GT-R NISMO, which is another awesome car & it passed the Ferrari 458 with ease.

Once I’d completed the two awesome drives it was onto my upgraded (£15) high speed passenger ride in the only working Ariel Atom & it didn’t disappoint me as I felt the G-force in the corners & the acceleration is insane! It’s a rocket on wheels basically.

I’d highly recommend this experience as it’s fantastic in every department & I wouldn’t be put off of some of the reviews on trip advisor.
