THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISTRESSFUL EXPERIENCE WE'VE ENDURED. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. After multiple failed attempts at communicating with business owner Nikky to try and find a resolution, my only hope is to stop others from having to go through the stressful procedure of trying to get any quality of service from Caldicot Kitchen & Bathroom Centre We paid thousands to have work done in our Mum’s bathroom. The job was not completed, and we had begun back and forth conversation with Nikky to find out why and more importantly when the work would be completed. When it was possible to make contact, we were told that Nikky was dealing with family issues and was trying to get things sorted. This was for a job that was booked over 12 months ago and with all due respect, the business owners' personal affairs are not of our business and shouldn’t alter the promises made over 12 months ago. Now my mum is left with a hole in the ceiling of her new bathroom suite and no extractor fan that should have been fitted when the job was supposed to be completed 3 months ago. The company fitted new kitchen units as well as moving the sink and water source across the room.
We have been thoroughly impressed with the results and the quality of the fitting. The boys did a fantastic job and were polite, tidy and efficient.

The Worce company I have ever dealt with ! Full of lies and broken promises ? Have been waiting for a shower tray to be replaced since November which they said could be done in 7-10 days . . still waiting as job ran over ! Fitter broke wrist ! Another job has run over ! Extra excetra .. they never call back ! 5 visits later last Friday they will call Monday with confirmed day and one week on .. you've guessed NoCall! ? Iv'e also had tray didn't come in after being told it was there !! Give these a wide berth .. Useless is not strong enough ... Paul Gummer More...

Caldicot Kitchens offer an excellent service. From the outset it was clear that John has a good eye for design and that both he and Nicky have an excellent knowledge of the products on offer. Nicky is very passionate in delivering good service at a reasonable price. The products offered are of excellent quality and the workmanship of the guys employed is also excellent. Whenever any minor issues arose (which I think is inevitable on a kitchen re-design) during the installation Nicky was right there to help resolve matters. My wife and I had a new kitchen & utility installed by Caldicot Kitchens and Bathroom Centre (CKBC)in January this year.
After an initial visit by one of the owners (and designer), John (in late November 2017); we had a initial design a few weeks later. It should be noted that we found it extremely useful to give John our maximum budget from the outset. This enabled him to tailor a quality kitchen to our requirements without wasting time on designs and furniture beyond our price.
We quickly agreed the designs and we were then invited to the Showroom in Rogiet to choose the range, colour, Oven etc and to agree the final price. This was done and we agreed a start date immediately following Christmas 2017. Again it should be noted the whole process was extremely straight forward and John was very helpful in making the process of choosing our new kitchen, and design, very easy and stress free.
Our project started in the first week of January 2018. The CKBC Team turned up and ripped our old kitchen out in very quick time. Our role was simply to have the kitchen emptied prior to their arrival. The team were extremely polite, they were respectful to our property and they ensured the kitchen area always remained in a tidy state at the end of the day. (Nothing was too much trouble). Following the kitchen removal the fitter (Neil) took over and during the next few weeks he proceeded to fit our new kitchen. Neil is an unbelievable tradesman, his attention to detail, the quality of his workmanship and his overall helpful pleasant demeanour is a credit to the Company. During the fitting, the plumber sorted the new sinks, the gas fitter the oven and hob, we were part decorated and then the electrician fitted our new sockets and light fittings. Again all provided a very high standard of workmanship and It was efficiently managed by the owners, at CKBC, who were proactively making regular site visits.
We now have our new kitchen which has taken just over four weeks from start to finish. It is one of those home projects that is very upsetting to your daily routine but my wife and I were delighted how accommodating and understanding this company managed and installed our new kitchen. The quality of our finished fully fitted kitchen is simply outstanding. Johns team of trades men were a credit to the business; punctual, polite, efficient, just simply great!
This is the second time we have invited CKBC to refurbish parts of our home and they have never let us down, providing complete satisfaction and wonderful quality. We obviously highly recommend their work. First Class!

The kitchen was delivered and installed on the agreed date, by helpful and very professional people who carried out the installation. Overall the experience was excellent and John and Nicky kept a close eye on progress.

The customer service I received from Caldicot Kitchens was excellent. This included several visits to discuss the design and the problems with the layout in my kitchen. Other large named kitchen suppliers only made suggestions to replace the units and not to address the layout problems. How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The simplest way to tell is to have a competent professional (architect, surveyor or builder) view the property and advise - they will also be able to advise on what planning permissions may be required as well as matters such as building regulations.
One of our director's chartered as a Building Surveyor and has over 20 years experience in overseeing all sizes and shapes of projects, including historic buildings and multiple-unit developments in London, so we are well placed to provide guidance and advice on your project.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Each project will be different, though all will start with a site visit to understand the property and what would be required for conversion. An initial design will then be outlined ready for your review and any tweaks that may be required. Detailed costings will be provided as well as a schedule of works. If specific professional inputs are required (e.g. structural engineer, architect and or planning permissions), this will also be indicated. Once the client is happy, the project can start and proceed in line with the plan.
Should changes be required during the course of a project (e.g. a specific planning requirement or unforeseen structural challenge), we generally seek to briefly pause the project, agree any changes/cost implications before continuing to completion. The "close out" phase will include final "snagging" where both the client and project manager check and agree any last details required to complete the installation.
What do you love most about your job?
At the core of the business, we are a husband and wife team with over 40 years combined experience in design and project management. We love the challenge of delivering that "dream room" for a customer while working hard to meet their budget. We take great pride in the quality of our installations, and in the aftercare and ongoing support we offer and few things give us greater pleasure than to see our customer's reactions to their completed rooms!
What inspired you to start your own business?
While my wife, Nicky, qualified as a chartered building surveyor over 20 years ago and I have had an interesting career in design & project management in other fields, we've always dreamed of owning and running a really good local business here in our local community. When the original founder of Caldicot Kitchens some 25+ years ago, Tony, was looking to retire, we saw a really good opportunity to take over a really great kitchen & bathroom studio with an excellent reputation for quality & service, and to help it grow further.
Since taking over the business, we've been investing heavily in our showroom and in our design & management systems to ensure we will be able to offer the very best quality products and service for the decades to come.
Why should our clients choose you?
Well, ultimately that is a decision for you! While we do not aim to be the cheapest company, we do aim to deliver good value on high quality products from reputable British & European manufacturers who we know and trust.
We work hard to understand your requirements thoroughly, and then to work with you to deliver high quality designs that still hit a budget.
Unlike other companies, we don't like saying "that can't be done", but instead find ways to make your dream rooms a reality.
We only use tried and trusted, professional fitters and tradesmen whom we would happily have work on our own home (as many have!).
While we can never guarantee a completely smooth installation (we are only human, after all!), we aim to resolve any issues quicky and with the minimum disruption to you.
We are open about our pricing, and stick to our commitments in this regard. If we do come across something which couldn't have been foreseen which may require additional spend, we will discuss this with you and ensure any changes are properly priced and agreed with you. And we will not ask for final payments until any last "snags" are resolved and you are happy that the job has been done to the high standards you - and we - expect.

We don't like pushy salesmen, so we would never act that way ourselves. We'll give you all the info you need to make a decision, and then it is entirely up to you whether you wish to use us.
