Mark clearly understood out requirements for practical family space within a tight budget. It instantly came exicting when Mark was making suggestions for the timber clad extension, rather than just sticking to the usual 2 story brick extension on the side. Lots of enthusiasm and energy for the project. Despite the Parish Council not being too keen on the proposal we receive many complementary remarks from passers by and neighbours on the extension and the fact that we have done something different which works perfectly in the location and for us as a family. Mark was recommended to us by a friend. We bought a 1970s house that had been badly neglected for 30 years complete with poky kitchen. Mark interpreted our dreams perfectly and created a wonderful design for downstairs, giving us a large light and airy kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, study and cosy sitting room. Mark was recommended to us through an electrician who in turn was recommended by the joiner we use at home. We had purchased a one bedroom apartment in a former Victorian water mill which was converted over 40 years ago. We wanted to create a second bedroom and retain/restore original features within the apartment. Mark came up with a creative design, and successfully obtained listed building consent from the planners. He also introduced us to a local builder who is presently undertaking the alterations on our behalf. We would be very happy to recommend Mark to others. We chose Mark as our Architect due to his flexible approach and vision with our complex whole house refurb. Mark has been helping us with our project for remodelling our house and changing the layout from a fairly complicated mishmash into something more practical. He managed to provide guidance whilst at the same time listening to our ideas and was very patient when we kept changing our mind. He worked very quickly and efficiently and produced some great plans that we were very happy with.He also helped us with costing and phasing the project, recommending tradespeople and was very budget conscious throughout.
