What makes a great website?
A great website is not just one that looks amazing, that works on mobiles and tablets and desktop computers, that goes without saying for all the websites I design and maintain.
Making sure your site is targeting your customers and providing them with the information they need. To help them with the buying process and feel confident your business, product or service, is the one they need.
Once I know this sort of information, I can then start designing the site accordingly. Even when it is built and live, like all things in life, things change, services need updating or new images need adding. Making sure your site is up to date, is all an essential part of the service I provide.

Describe your creative process.
Once we have met and got to know each other, the process can begin.
Firstly I have a website planning document I can send you to help create a picture of you and you customers.
You, or your copywriter need to think about the wording. Also consider what images you need. I can support you with this with suitable stock images, or, if the budget is available, commissioning a photographer is an option worth considering.
Then I can start the design process.
This consists of me creating two initial home page designs for you to consider. From your feedback, I can either refine one design, or carry straight on with the build of the site.
Once you are completely happy with the design we can make it live, either on your preferred hosting company or Buddy Websites can host it for you.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Once we have a plan for your new site, then we can agree the easy monthly payments.
We can decide on hosting and what level of support you need in terms of a copywriter or photographer.
Your new site will be very much a joint project with me and you, making sure you are informed and involved in the whole process.
What do you love most about your job?
Over the years I have had the pleasure of meeting so many fascinating small businesses and organisations, it's always interesting to hear about them and identify ways I, as a designer, can add value to their business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Realising the good design will benefit small businesses and should not just be the luxury for big organisations with massive budgets.
