Turns out I recognised the owner from a monthly food stall he used to run near my office in London. ..I always returned month after month as I loved the innovative combinations of his bubble and squeak! I'm biased as I live in Old Amersham and run a marketing agency just over the road, so Marita and the team are kind of neighbours. .. That said I cant resist Bubble&. Nor can I recommend them highly enough. Simply sublime food, fab (seriously absolutely tip top) service, good banter, and cocktails or a jolly good wine list if you're in the mood. I've taken a few of my clients there for lunch and they all rave about it. So much so that they're now finding an excuse to come spend a LOT more time in my office. More...

Bubble& is located in The Crown Hotel in Amersham. It is in the bar/pub area of the inn and very relaxed. Dogs are very welcome. I wish I had taken a photo of the salmon dish I had. It was absolutely delicious and lovely to look at too. Tasty, not heavy, the perfect size, and totally original. The (homemade) ice cream was equally good, especially the sticky toffee pudding. The music playing, too, was perfect: good, classic tracks. I highly recommend it! More...

Delicious, full of flavour, with a variety of blending textures. So moreish, perfectly seasoned and goes with everything. Love the fact that they are gluten-free, made with the freshest local, seasonal ingredients. Some are also vegan. Yummy!

Bubble& CLASSIC SQUEAK
- bubble and squeak, soft poached free-range egg, smoked streaky bacon, hollandaise sauce.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We like to speak to our clients to get a better understanding of the menu they are envisaging. We are very flexible and we can happily offer a menu without bubble and squeak (although most of our clients request it!).
What do you love most about your job?
We love watching our clients take their first bite of our food and seeing the delight spread across their faces.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our unique concept (gourmet bubble & squeak!) and sharing it with the world.
