I had personal training sessions with Bruce earlier this summer to support me with my Great North Run training. I can’t recommend Bruce highly enough, he helped me to get over some recurring issues with running and supported me a lot with strengthening. Thank you so much!

I met Bruce when I joined North Shields Poly a year ago. He was immediately friendly, welcoming and supportive. I do circuit training with him twice a week and his sessions, Advice and all round support continue to help me to achieve PBs at all distances and motivate me to keep improving and enjoying it. All that and he's good fun and a genuinely nice bloke too! More...

I met Bruce after being recommended his personal training sessions, I was a newbie runner with the Blaydon Race and GNR to train for. Having only taken up the sport some months prior, I was a tentative and nervous pupil to say the least - but Bruce soon changed that. With his enthusiasm and zest for running I began to fall in love with running too, and everything that comes with it - even the achey limbs following a particularly gruelling session were a joy. I had discovered a whole new part of me that I didn't know existed, and that is largely down to Bruce. I can't thank him enough and thoroughly recommend his personal training to anyone; whether a new runner or accomplished, I have no doubt that he would be able to help. I look forward to working with him again and am sure that if more personal trainers were like him we'd all be a bit fitter.....and happier. More...

Have only been doing these sessions for a few months now and they have already made a massive difference. You push as hard as you want, though are encouraged every step of the way, and the exercises are perfect for me (a runner) as they focus on so many muscle groups that I was weak in.

Strongly recommend people try these sessions - Bruce is a superb coach and these are really well put together sessions that will test and improve all levels.

Excellent working with Bruce. Provides a complete program for me to suit my needs. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.

Q&As

We help clients by meeting with them to look at their needs and what good will look like for them. Quite often people know where they want to get to, what looks good for them, and it is our aim to help them put in place the steps to get to that point. This initial meeting is free and forms the basis from which the programme is developed. After five sessions we look at where the client has got to and how the programme needs to be developed to maintain the level of health and fitness achieved and to identify what needs to be done to progress to the next level

Hard, but sensible and realistic, consistent work at training and in the kitchen

Seeing how people grow, not just physically but mentally and emotionally

After working in the local communities for many years I could see the issues people are having around health and wanted to do something to give everyone the opportunity to develop a healthier and fitter lifestyle and in so doing improve the quality of their lives and the communities in which they live and work

Because I care about them and their lifestyle. I am not interested in short term gains and then leaving clients but in developing habits which will ensure that they maintain a healthy life for many years to come.
