I came to Bridget suffering with anxiety and severe depression. She quickly understood my difficulties and was able to shed some light on some recurring unhelpful patterns I had established and how to shift them. She is very professional and has the ability to gently challenge you where necessary. More...

I began seeing Bridget after finding out I was pregnant and losing my mum in the space of a couple of months. Bridget's approachable, open and kind manner made it very easy for me to feel at ease sharing my difficulties and speaking openly about them. Bridget's calm and personal way of working made it easy for me to trust her, and her experience in counselling helped me to understand myself better and gave me the self belief I needed to get through a very hard time. I can't recommend Bridget enough, she is a kind and caring professional and as we covered a lot of 'topics', I can honestly say that she has a lots of experience in many different areas of counselling covering bereavement, pregnancy, self confidence, family worries and career difficulties. Counselling and Psychotherapy are my passions. I enjoy making meaningful connections with my clients and have a genuine interest in finding ways to help them.

I understand how difficult it can be to seek help and tell another person what is going on for you. Therefore I work at my clients pace, honouring each clients individuality.

In my experience people have a strong need to be heard and I aim to offer a non judgemental space and a listening ear.

It is a joy and an honour to do this work and I warmly welcome you to get into contact with me if you feel I am the right counselor for you.

I used to work as a Samaritan and took a break from this to have kids. Three kids later I decided to return to counselling and began my training at BCPC in 2014. I love my work, enjoy meeting new people, making meaningful connections and believe counselling and psychotherapy can help to change unhelpful patterns.

On completing my course I set up in private practice whilst also working at Bristol Mind.

I have been working for 5 years now and look forward to working for many more.

If you would like to be heard deeply, encouraged to speak your truth, gently challenged and met with relational depth then I am the right counsellor for you.

I am a warm, committed and compassionate counsellor. I have worked with a large variety of clients from different cultural and social backgrounds.

I have worked in The Southmead Project helping clients with addiction issues who came from abusive backgrounds and also at Weston College working with individuals from 16+ who came with a range of issues.

I also worked at Bristol Mind with individuals who have suffered various types of trauma.

I believe that Counselling and Psychotherapy can help shift unhelpful patterns and that working with the right counsellor is the key to this and to unlocking our potential.

I welcome you to get in contact if you feel I am the right therapist for you.

Please note I currently only have daytime slots available.
