I have had 3 lots of counselling sessions with Jane, 2 were short term and the other over a long period of time.
I very quickly felt at ease with her, trusted her, felt safe with her and never felt judged by her. She is very warm, genuine, friendly and empathic. I always felt she really cared about me and didn't hesitate to contact her when I found myself struggling and needing help again.
She helped me to understand and accept myself , to grow as a person and become more confident and assertive within my work , leisure and relationships. I am also much more able to cope with stress and anxiety as a result of having therapy with her and no longer have low self esteem.
I would highly recommend this counsellor ....

I learnt so much through counselling with Jane, which I think about on a daily basis which has changed my whole outlook and understanding of life. Whether it was just a big old cry I needed or to find some clarity on a confusing situation- I looked forward to my sessions. For anyone considering it, It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it! Jane not only listened but gave me things to think about during the week so that the meeting was more prepared, on my part. She was very empathetic and easy to talk with. I would highly recommend her. More...

Q&As

I love many things about my job. I always feel humbled and privileged when people choose me as their therapist as it is a very special relationship - There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone walk away after completing counselling, feeling lighter ,freer and excited to live their lives after they have healed their emotional wounds. I feel privileged to join my clients on a journey of self discovery.

I feel I have always been compassionate ,sensitive and empathic, hence going into general nurse training and qualifying in the 80s . I have worked in the NHS for many years both on the wards and then in occupational health where I have looked after the mental and physical health and well-being of our staff . As the years have progressed there has been more stress and anxiety within the workplace and I have been heavily involved in starting up a counselling service and providing appropriate training packages to help people alleviate anxiety and stress. Developing my private practice from this has been a natural progression .

I believe I am empathic, sensitive and compassionate but also have much experience and training to ensure that my counselling service is both professional And effective.

Services

I provide face to face, online and telephone counselling.
