Mrs Sarah Harding
It was great to have someone to help me choose a hedge to provide some privacy for my front garden which is on a main road. The hedge has taken well, as has the Sorbus tree “Pinkness” which Julia recommended and sourced. Julia is very thorough and spent a lot of time researching the best options. More...
What do you love most about your job?
The variety and challenge of working with different customers to vision lasting improvements to their gardens, whether large or small.
What inspired you to start your own business?
With a passion for plants, and being a lifelong gardener and biological scientist, I retrained on leaving the NHS, where I was a Chief Biomedical Scientist, to build on knowledge and skills learnt in my youth, and to further develop my creative talents.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am used to listening and responding to customer needs, in a timely and professional manner. I'm flexible and can work with a variety of design and planting styles.
I am highly analytical, technically minded, with a keen eye for detail, texture and colour.
I believe in recycling materials and plants wherever possible, to minimise expense and damage to the environment.
I'm fully insured and am a Pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers. Please see SGD website for further details of what to expect when working with garden designers.
My rates are highly competitive.
Garden renovation
I'm able to visit your garden and provide a written report of my survey, to include soil pH and texture, with immediate and longer term recommendations for action to improve your outdoor space.
I'm willing to work alongside you, to coach you through these processes over a period of months, preferably at least one year.
