I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I feel the way myself and my partner have been treated by Gemma should be a warning to future brides.
We chose Gemma for our wedding because she does beautiful flowers and has a great portfolio. We considered her a trusted supplier of our venue.
When it came to our wedding day our venue had a few added extras - a hoop and a mezzanine where we could have flowers added to our colour scheme. When we arrived on the day the standard flowers (and flowers from a previous wedding) remained. I raised this with gemma as we had paid £200 extra for these. I evidenced with pictures and Gemma sadly lied and said she had put in our colour scheme and removed them very early the next day. Despite clear picture evidence showing no change from the day before.
My latest communication asked Gemma to review given I had sent her our professional photos, further backing up our claim. Gemma responded stating she would not review and falsified that we owed her for damaged table cloths with burn holes and wine spillage - these were not raised with us over numerous communications and even after we saw her the next day and checked everything was ok.
In the interest of fairness, where Gemma did provide flowers they were beautiful. The disappointing part is where she chose not to provide flowers we paid for and her dishonesty.
I should note from the outset I found her scatty. I and even had an occasion where we arranged to meet and she didn’t turn up until I called her. She had forgotten and asked me to return another day, at this point I noted I had traveled 1.5 hours to the venue from my home and didn’t think it was reasonable. Gemma then turned up but it was a disappointing start. I let this slide but it should have been a warning for the service this florist is happy to provide.

Gemma provided the most beautiful flowers for our wedding day. She squeezed us in even though she already had a wedding booked the same day as ours and managed to bring to life exactly what was in my head. I can’t believe how perfect my bouquet was, with such a wide variety of stunning, vibrant pink and peach flowers and green and pink foliage. Gemma also arranged gorgeous bouquets for our 7 bridesmaids and such sweet buttonholes for the groom, 7 groomsmen, mothers and fathers and grandfather. Gemma made the most breathtaking registrar table/top table arrangement that I’ve ever seen and even provided some cake and hair flowers to help tie everything together. Choosing Gemma to dress our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made! Her flowers and style were perfect for our venue; we absolutely adored the wooden crates and my bouquet was stunning and everything I wanted! From our initial meeting through to the end of our wedding day Gemma always went the extra mile. I’ll start by saying I’m not sure how to put into words the amount of love I have for this woman, but I’ll give it a go! Gemma created our beautiful flowers for our wedding day in April. When we first met it was in a little bit of a panic because the prices we were getting from other suppliers were off the scale and it seemed as if to achieve what we really wanted was either going to be very expensive or we were going to have to scale down our ideas. Gemma however was able to bring our dream into budget and I knew the vision we had for our day was safe in her hands. Over the next 10 months, I spent a lot of time with Gemma talking through ideas and letting her know exactly what I liked and didnt like. As a designer myself I had a really clear vision but nothing compared to what Gemma and her team delivered on the day. The shear volume of beautiful flowers that set the scene for our day was incredible. Every single member of staff and our guests commented on how wonderful they both smelt and looked. The gorgeous David Austin Juliet played the hero and just took my breathe away. I couldn’t believe how fabulous all the flowers I’d mentioned looked so perfect together. Gemma also coordinated our day as I knew that she understood perfectly how I wanted things. She was an absolute dream to work with and became a true friend in the process. I’m sad to not be able to pop in and see her as often, as talking flowers with her honestly was a highlight of the whole wedding process. Just some of our absolutely bloody gorgeous flowers from the very talented Gemma @bellsanddaisies we had a vision for a botanical and modern Ribble Valley garden wedding and she nailed it I can't wait for the final pictures to see all of Gemma's centre piece creations and the many terrariums which I developed a small obsession for also the many other extra special touches such as the welcome sign, the table names, our card box and outdoor table greenery. Gemma is fantastic!!! We recently used Gemma for our wedding and our flowers were beautiful. Gemma takes your vision and makes it into a reality. Everyone commented on how gorgeous mine and the bridesmaid bouquets were not to mention the decorations at the venue. We absolutely loved them. Gemma did our flowers for our wedding. And WOW they really were incredible. Not only were the flowers incredible but so were the decorations she did for us. I told Gemma exactly what I wanted, and I got that. She didn’t just do my flowers, she was a venue dresser for us too. She worked great with our caterers in order to achieve the exact wedding I’d always dreamt of. Gemma was so easy to work with, so friendly and genuinely cared about my vision. I barely saw her on the day, they just got on with it quickly and discreetly. I can’t even put into words how beautiful everything was, but Gemma did the flowers for my church, cake, bridesmaids and flower girls hair, bouquets, button holes, photo booth, little burst of flowers dotted around, all tables, our top table was out of this world! And all the candles and voiles. I would definitely recommend Bluebells and Daisies to anyone!! I got all of the flowers I wanted; roses, bluebells, peonies and lots of eucalyptus. Well what can I say? Gemma is absolutely amazing! Truly talented and fantastic at what she does with a fine eye for detail. Not only did Gemma create such gorgeous flowers, she is an absolute delight to get along with, such a lovely person!! It was a pleasure having Gemma as our florist for our wedding day, I would not hesitate in recommending Gemma at all. Gemma is like a floral fairy Queen the pieces she creates are like pieces of magic and I would never look anywhere else for a florist! ! .. we had the privilege of Gemma as our wedding florist she managed to create bouquets buttonholes confetti cones crowns wands the list is endless ... she created them all with love and passion and this is easy to tell in the end product ... I found Gemma’s page on instagram in the early days of planning our tipi wedding and I knew straight away that I wanted her to help us decorate with gorgeous flowers and greenery. I wanted our wedding to feel relaxed and festival like and Gemma completely brought those visions to life. In planning meetings with Gemma she helped me with so much, thanks to all her experience and expertise she had sussed things I hadn’t even thought about yet!
