I have run several successful companies over the past 20 years and I now specialise in the creation of Business Strategy, Growth and Turnaround of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). I have an MBA from Derby University which has given me an academic basis for my extensive experience in both the large corporate and the SME worlds.
I spent 11 years in the Middle East running my own business and Consulting for Big 4 and Tier 1 Consulting firms. Having returned to the UK in 2012, I have set out to help specifically in the SME sector where I have the passion and expertise to assist. The businesses I have helped include niche Consulting firms, Telecoms, IT/Technology, Membership Associations, Recruitment, FMCG, Services (including eCommerce and Web -based services), Retail, Print and Media/Branding.
I have been mentoring several SME company owners (through the FSE Group) to support them in their aspirations and to listen to their challenges, ideas and plans. My ethos is to first understand your goals (both personal and business) and to understand how you want them to be aligned. I have a very strong business modelling template (both document and spreadsheet-based) with which to structure your business plan and design a robust road map for your business based on how you want to run your company and the outcomes you desire.
The overriding principle of a good business strategy is that it is simple enough to execute and flexible enough to evolve as your business grows.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the excitement of dealing with new people and watching their business develop . I love their infectious enthusiasm and I love working with them to generate new ideas and strategies. Most people I work with know their business and already have the ideas buried within them...my role is to bring them out!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoy providing great service and great solutions and working with great people and this was my inspiration. Whilst there have been those times of stress and pressure, I have had incredible fun in my own businesses and made friendships that have lasted a lifetime...
