Mes tutored my son for both his 11+ exams and for the local Boarding school which required him to sit an Academic test. In total she taught him for just under a year on a weekly basis with additional intensive lessons as and when needed. Mes was extremely professional and friendly and my son enjoyed his lessons with her. Nothing too much trouble for this lovely lady.She has the patience of a Saint. The child i look after has been in and out of school for the last 7 years so trying to get them to engage was certainly a Challenge. What do you love most about your job?
There are many aspects of the job that I enjoy including - being my own boss, creative lessons, planning fun yet informative sessions. I meet so many different students and preparing resources for them is exciting .
Having the opportunity to work with different types of students and having a direct impact on their academic life is valuable to me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love knowledge and education ; knowing that I will make a direct difference to a tutee's learning journey is wonderful.
Starting a business is daunting ; building it and seeing it flourish is challenging but definitely rewarding (clichéd as it sounds!).
I discovered that there are many tutors out there offering similar services to me but I feel that my USP is that I am very personable and go above and beyond the average tutor.
