What a fantastic experience! Mandy put me at ease from our initial email contact, I was a bit worried about the timings as my wedding was quite early and I wanted hair and make-up for myself and two bridesmaids. Mandy reassured me that it would be no problem and I immediately felt that she would have it all under control (she did!).

I showed her a couple of pictures of hairstyles I liked and gave her the make-up brief of “not too much, just a really nice version of me” which she completely understood. Mandy knew exactly what would suit my colouring and I was really impressed with the results, my bridesmaids looked amazing as well One thing we were all really impressed with was how well our hair and make-up lasted! It was a really long day (10.30am- midnight), incredibly hot weather and involved some very energetic ceilidh dancing but everything stayed put and looked fresh!

Finally, I would just like to say what a lovely relaxing presence Mandy was, it was a pleasure to have her there in the morning. We had a giggle and she was great at keeping everything running along, I didn’t have to worry about anything. She stayed until we were leaving the hotel making sure that all the little last, minute details were perfect. I’m just sad I can’t do it all over again. More...

I was initially rather nervous about finding someone to do the hair and make up for my wedding but having looked at Mandy’s portfolio, I knew I had found the person for me. We arranged a trial for my mum and myself a few months before the wedding. Mum has very sensitive skin and the last thing we wanted was for her to have an allergic reaction on the big day. Mandy wrote down everything that she had used on us both and was especially careful on the morning of the wedding to not use anything different. She made us, and my two adult bridesmaids look amazing – we all wanted a very natural look, which is exactly what we got. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed having their make up done and my sister was especially impressed as she is so pale that even the lightest foundations, from well known makes, are too dark but Mandy got the shade just right for her. Mandy also created a fabulous up do for myself, ensuring that the back of my dress could be seen and that my veil could easily be removed as the evening went on. She was amazing with my two young nieces who had a half up, half down style with a slight curl. Our hair and make up lasted all day and night and we can’t wait to see the professional photos. Yesterday she returned to do the hair and makeup for me, my daughter and granddaughters, at the wedding of one of my bridesmaid. I can not recommend Mandy highly enough. I’m a bit particular about people being in my personal space so, having hair and make up done can be very daunting for me. Not with Mandy, she made me feel so relaxed, I felt safe immediately - she became an asset to my wedding day. She listened to what I like and don’t like, she used her wealth of knowledge and experience to give advise and create a stunning look. I cannot fault any of the services that Mandy provided me with for my wedding she was absolutely fabulous! She was professional at all times and always made sure that I was happy with my hair and make up during my trial before the final decision was made on what I was going to have. On the day of the wedding she arrived well before she was supposed too and was chatting to everyone and joining in the conversation. My mum absolutely loved her hair and said that it made her feel very pretty and lady like as my mum is quite a Tom boy! My hair and make up on the day largest from 1pm until 1am and would have lasted longer if I didn't need to go to sleep! I cannot reccomened Big day hair and make-up enough! What can I say, nothing short of fabulous! Trial was laid back & fun and then on the big day everything went smoothly and on schedule despite the hotel being some distance from home and for some difficult to find! ! Both mine and my mums make up looked fab and lasted all day. Everything was thought of and even helping with my veil before we set off for the ceremony, you took some great photos as well which are always nice to see before the official ones arrive!
