Having read a couple of the negative reviews on Trust Pilot I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can safely say that my experience with Michael Leslie at BHL Surveyors was a positive one. His communication is professional and he provided me with an excellent report in a timely manner. Furthermore, there was a point where I wasn't sure if I needed the report anymore and he was happy to refund the cost should I have wished to do so - even though the survey was to be done on that day. I think that speaks volumes about the character and integrity of Michael and his practice.My view is that he provided a good, solid service and that these negative reviews are not to be taken seriously. We have used this surveyor three times now to survey flats we were interested in buying and every time were very pleased. Very professional and thorough survey, clear communications, quick responses to queries . In two cases, the full report was submitted slightly later than originally promised (1-2 days later), but this did not have any negative impact on our decision making for the process of purchasing our flat. We had hired BHL Surveyors (Michael Leslie) for the surveyancing for the purchase of a flat in London. We were pressed for time, as the seller was pushing for fast completion. BHL Surveyors completed a thorough report both very quickly and to an extraordinarily high standard. As there were significant concerns arising from the report, we then had several lengthy phone conversations with Michael to understand the implications of his report and how to move forward. Based on the thorough findings of the surveyor report about the flat's problems, the seller ended up reducing the price by the surveyor's estimated repair costs. For us, this meant being able to move forward and knowing what we have to do next to keep the flat in good order, and what types of expenditures will await us. So the service we got was invaluable, fast and thorough.
