Describe your creative process.
We start by discussing what you require, find out who you have as competitors or who you think is on the same wave length as what you wish to produce. We will confirm a brief with you and then go ahead with mocking up a draft design(s) of the requirements to make sure that we have fully grasped what you are looking for. Once you are happy with the draft design we will then create a more thorough design and issue various drafts until the final product is ready for whatever media output you are requiring.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
An open discussion on what you are after.
What you like with regards to potential examples of other designs that you think match your idea.
Any previous artwork produced that would aid the completion of the project.
What do you love most about your job?
Love the process of turning your ideas into a reality. Its the end result that hopefully gets the wow factor, but the process along the way of making sure you are happy with the way we are heading is also something that I really enjoy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked for companies that just churned out similar designs for different companies I started Between Lines to allow a more diverse and unique approach to the design process, seeing people/companies as individuals whom I want to get to know, rather than just a means to an end / payment.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have over 20 years experience within the graphics industry and prefer a more personal approach to design. I like to make sure that the project is tailored specifically for you and keep clients upto date with where their design is and how things are progressing. Its a two way process that I feel works best when lines of communication are open, to allow the client to feel a part of the entire process, rather than just seeing a final result.
