All I can say is WOW! Had issues with my Labrador barking at the door and leaping out at whoever is there, plus lead pulling was making on lead walks pretty hard work for me. After our session with Paul, was given so much information in a clear way that allowed me to start working on the skills shown with a certain degree of confidence I never knew existed. Occy responded so well to all the training we worked on just that day that he slept for hours in the afternoon! Left feeling so empowered to continue with the work we have started, packed full of the knowledge Paul shared, to give Occy the best life possible and for us to have a better, more connected relationship. Buddy our 11 month old cavapoo was becoming unmanageable and the change has been incredible.

Absolutely impressed with the coaching of my pup Bodhi by Paul.
Beard meets dog is a professional company who showed such skill in the craft of dog training.
This has made such a difference to us as a family. My pup has picked up several skills and his behaviour is much calmer now. It is still work in progress, but I now have the tools to move forward. I would strongly recommend this company to help if anyone is struggling with an unruly hound.

Our puppy has been rather challenging but once Paul gave us the information we needed and showed us how to approach certain situations we felt very optimistic that our puppy will soon be more relaxed, less nippy, toilet trained and comfortable on walks.

Paul is an outstanding trainer. We got Rusty, our 2 year old King Charles Cavalier just before the pandemic so he's only known lockdown life. With that comes a lot of challenges around separation anxiety and some behavioural issues from us unintentionally reinforcing the wrong habits and reactions. What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy helping take away the stress and frustration owners are having with their dog. When I see clients realise that their problem can be solved and the smile return to their face it's a real buzz that motivates me to keep helping people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Beard Meets Dog was born from our passion for helping people and being around dogs. I had been trying to think of a way to merge those two passions into a new career for a long time when I stumbled upon the fascinating work of the dog behaviourist, and I knew that was the calling for me.

Our methods aim to support and educate owners to become good leaders and mentors for their dogs.
We will help you identify the causes of the issues you’re facing, develop a plan to tackle them, and then coach you through the process, helping you to learn modern and humane techniques.

Yes. I can provide a video or phone call to talk through the issue and offer advice. It can never take the place of an in home assessment but it is a more cost effective option and can provide some immediate help to the issue.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow the current guidance from government agencies as well as our own existing hygiene protocols.
