I've been teaching English at the Be Smart language school for just over a year now and it's been a thoroughly rewarding, worthwhile and enjoyable experience so far. I'm in a very fortunate position because every day I see students of different age groups,from a diverse assortment of countries, and they are enthusiastic and always keen to learn, which I find inspiring and stimulating. I’ve been studying at Be Smart language school for 3 weeks now, and I’m writing to tell that I’m very pleased to learn English there. I’m a French student in languages and Business studies, and I’m currently on a home stay in Milton Keynes. In order to improve my English, I’ve been looking for private lessons. I’ve heard about this school through an acquaintance, and I registered there the 3rd of August, for a period of 1 month, since I’m going back to France at the end of the holidays. I’m taking 2 hour lessons twice a week, in a small group of 3 people. These are regular lessons at an intermediate-advanced level. My teacher is called Angela; she is very nice with us and competent too. She works a lot on improving our weaknesses in English, which are for me a lack in usual vocabulary and the pronunciation. We speak a lot in classes, and we are learning a lot while having fun, the lessons are never boring. All the staff is friendly, and aside the lessons, there are other activities like conversation session – There were free conversation courses last week – and a language Café once a week. Who want to Be Smart..?I have been studying at Be Smart Language School since September 2014. I saw the school on the website and I decided to try it. I´m studying English language in General English class, FCE class and Conversation class. I would like to try a new Workshop class soon.I like listening, speaking, writing, speaking – of course everything in this school.My teacher is Angela. She is very nice, friendly, helpful and patient. I´ve never seen better English teacher. She tells us about lots of things. We´re doing lots of different exercises. Be Smart Language School organize a lot of social events for example: International food festival, Pub evening etc. These social events are great opportunity how you can found new friends in new town. Since I joined 5 months ago Be Smart Language School my concept of learning English has changed completely. Although I ´d studied English in Spain for many years I felt all the time I couldn't speak with the fluency I needed. At some point I manage at work and I got used to the vocabulary I need on a daily basis but when I tried speak about more specific topics I lacked both the confidence and vocabulary so I decided to undertake some classes.Thanks to the pronunciation and Debate I am gaining a lot of accuracy and confidence, and most importantly all the subtlety needed to speak in another language. Hopefully get my challenge to pass the CAE in December! I totally recommend Be Smart to everyone trying to improve his English skills as the groups are very reduce and the teachers are creative and work very hard to ensure that each class is enjoyable, different and fun which is no easy task considering that many of the students come to class after a long day of work !The entire team of the Schools is professional and friendly, always smiling, always always checking we are fine, worrying about if we have had a good week and organizing activities in and outside of MK to let us know our colleagues better.They have been only a few months but just a few days were enough to feel part of the Be Smart Family. I have been in this language school since October 2013. I have to say I enjoy studying English every day with my teacher and classmates. I’m currently having private lessons so I can focus on my needs and improve faster. In the past, I went to group lessons in the evening and conversation classes in the morning. I really enjoy Be Smart Language School Engilsh lessons as well as social events they organise regularly. The teachers and staff are very nice and helpful. I recommend this Language School. More...
