Me and my very active 4 year old Bernese mountain dog, Fizz, had our very first 1-1 real dog yoga session with Caroline today and we loved every minute of it! Caroline was so lovely with Fizz and gave brilliant advice on Fizz’s attention seeking behaviour and showed us some very easy tricks and techniques to help her relax and stretch her muscles and joints. I joined Barket Place in January after getting my puppy. The online resources are so detailed and well explained. I absolutely love having the Facebook Group where I can ask questions, get support, advice and help. I also really enjoy the monthly Facebook Lives where Caroline talks about a particular subject. So pleased I chose Ruff Hounds and Caroline to guide me through me and my puppy's journey. Excellent value with the unexpected depth of support which comes with the initial puppy group I signed up for. I particularly like appreciated the peer support and live web chats. We were lucky enough to have Caroline support us through each step of introducing our puppy to his new home. Her professional, approachable and friendly manner helped put us at ease, in order for us to learn how to be the best puppy parents! From choosing the breeder to positive home & crate training we had videos and sheets to refer to on the go or in the home. All the guides were practical and really easy to understand, so were simple for us to put into practice. Best start for our puppy Bindi, we learnt a lot ready. Caroline ( trainner) was not only their at the class, Caroline would also take time out of her week to answer any concerns or worries, then would make sure she spent time after class to make sure you felt confident in whatever your concerns were!!! Highly recommended

Real Dog Yoga course: Ted is a totally toy crazy and excitable 7 (nearly 8!) year old Collie x who finds it hard to settle in social situations initially. I was hoping I could come away with some tips/ calm exercises to help him chill a bit and boy did Caroline and this course deliver! We both absolutely loved the day, Tedster was a little star who took to every exercise so well. He settled well, even being fast asleep near the end as he was utterly mentally drained. He'd only had 30 mins of physical exercise all day and I had to drag out of his bed this morning for walkies! I have lots to work on now and would highly recommend this course, especially to anyone with a highly driven breed who struggles to switch off. Mollie had a session of pharmacognoscy today - Caroline was so calm and lovely with her and I have had a chilled and quiet doggy ever since. Amazing what this girl can do.

Our 7-month old puppy is now on her second course with Caroline, and our older dog has been having help with some issues. Caroline is very positive and professional, and our only problems relate to our own inability at times to carry out instructions and suggestions as effectively as Caroline herself . If only we had her knowledge, experience and patience! Highly recommended whether you're just starting out with a puppy or trying to sort out a problem in an older dog. More...

Need a professional, positive and enthusiastic dog trainer? Look no further than Ruff Hounds! Caroline has been such an amazing support in the past few months with our first puppy. Miniature Schnauzers are not the most obedient but somehow, with her considerate tuition, Colin can sit, stay, leave and will actually come to us when we call his name! He has such a great relationship with Caroline - he is so excited to see her and loves doing the class demos! Nothing is too much trouble, always there to ask questions - she has a true passion and cares for what she does. Her positive methods of training make us feel so reassured being first time doggie parents! We can't wait for the future classes, and expanding out to Tricks and Dog Yoga - as well as the talks that she runs locally. Caroline met with me and my dog at my home to give us 1-1 training to help with lead walking. Caroline was very friendly and patient and demonstrated training really well. When it was my turn to have a go with the training she guided me through it as I tried to carry out what I had been taught. It worked well and I look forward to continuing it myself. I'm mummy to 5 year old Labrador brothers Milo and Ozzy. They've had some basic training as pups but very quickly they ruled us and developed some minor behavioural problems like jumping up, pulling on lead to name a few. Caroline was recommended to us by a colleague of hers and I'm so glad she was. We chatted through email my concerns and decided 1 to 1 sessions would be a good starter for ten. We've sought help before but none have been as friendly or supportive as Caroline! I won't deny that it wasn't only our labs who needed training but I can honestly say we saw an improvement after the first session in both my husband and I and our two pups! It's so nice to have someone not criticise you either, Caroline listened to our concerns and showed us a variety of ways to correct some of the behaviours, in a non-aggressive way. We were shown alternative methods for walking our boys and I'm pleased to say we have finally found a resolution and I cannot wait to take them for walks on my own again! Caroline was an absolute star with our 8 week old German Shepherd. Everything taught was clear, with reasoning behind each instruction really helping us to build a knowledge of dog psychology.
