I was a very nervous owner with a very nervous cat following a bad experience with a different Groomer. I was reassured from the first exchange of messages with Pauline,. Whilst my cat, Pebbles, was being groomed I could hear Pauline talking to her and reassuring her the whole time. I even got a video of Pebbles having a lovely cuddle in the groom. Pauline was the answer to our (Persian) prayers. I was finding it so hard to find a reliable cat groomer but thankfully found Pauline's details and contacted her, asking if she could give our Persian cat a lion cut. Highly responsive and 100% professional, Pauline took such good care of our cat - He'd never been groomed before and I was worried how stressed he'd get, however within 15 minutes of her finishing he had eaten his dinner and was doing his usual routine without a care in the world. I was incredibly nervous about someone grooming my rescue cat Polly and had pulled out of numerous grooming sessions at shops before I found Pauline and I'm so glad I held out as she was fabulous! She instantly made me feel at ease and took the time out to reassure me on how the session would go prior to our meeting. She spoke to Polly like one of her own cats and was incredibly patient as I know P made her work rather hard! Polly had a few matts which she had refused to let me get near and a greasy coat but by the end of it she smelt divine and after the groom she seemed instantly happier albeit with a cute naked bottom. I was almost convinced Polly would need sedation for a proper groom so was over the moon that Pauline was able to work her magic on her. She also followed us up with an email and some useful products which was very helpful and much appriciated. I would highly recommend Pauline and will definitely be using her again. Met Pauline for the first time, to take over grooming our 4 chinchilla Persian cats, as our other groomers have shut down during lockdown. Our 2 boys were in desperate need of some TLC. Pauline was brilliant with our Sumi who had her first professional groom yesterday. Our 2 year girl is very wary of all strangers, doesn't like being picked up and brushing her was a big challenge, to say the least. We were recommended by June Fraser who runs the Ginger Cat House Rescue so I was confident that Pauline could help us and Sumi would be in safe hands. Pauline was so good with her, talking to her in such a calm and soothing manner, while gently bathing her and then taking out her matts where necessary. Pauline worked wonders on our very nervous cat,Barneys,knotted coat after we had no luck.He is scared of other people and resists being picked up or held. My daughter suggested contact Pauline at Awesome Paws as we had seen good reviews about her from The Ginger Cat House. She was all we could have hoped for,and more. She was very gentle with Barney and was able to shower him and groom his coat,cutting out the remaining knots we hadn’t been able to deal with. He felt comfortable and took himself off to the wardrobe to dry off after Pauline felt he wouldn’t cope with the hairdryer. Pauline came to our rescue after Jeff, our big ginger fluffballs fur had become matted and too much for us to deal with. It was Jeff’s first time being groomed professionally and we were concerned how he would cope with it. Pauline has done two absolutely amazing grooms on my British shorthair. She is so careful and thorough and great with him. Pauline was lovely and groomed our long haired tabby cat yesterday. Due to matting and pelting on her side, Pauline had to give her a partial lion clip. I had wished her luck as our cat is ‘strong willed’ and I didn’t think she would be able to do the groom however Chip well looked after by Pauline who kept her calm and did a great job. Pauline did a fantastic job with out cat Lunar. Being an old girl who had developed trouble grooming and a few environment changes, she had developed Matt's and after a previous disaster groom we were worried about getting someone else but Pauline was amazing. She calmed Lunar, was kind to her and even offered her treats (even though Lunar is a fussy thing). She did a fantastic job with the groom and Lunar is back to her usual happy self and is now strutting her stuff. I arranged a home visit with Pauline to give my long haired ragdoll cat a full body clip. She did a great job, kept him calm, gave him treats, and gave the fluffy munchkin a great haircut! We were delighted by the amount of time Pauline dedicated to our 10 year old cat Mimo to make sure that she felt safe, comfortable and relaxed. She truly is a cat lover, honest and very hard working. Pauline’s gentle, kind and calming manner had Mimo purring and pawing in no time and much to our surprise she actually appeared to enjoy the whole process. She even went to Pauline for lots of cute cuddles afterwards! Mimo has been transformed as a result. Without the knots that we were struggling to keep in check she’s become so much more active and agile and just seems generally happier. I even saw her run properly as a cat should yesterday - the first time in many years! Thanks to Pauline’s informative aftercare advice we’re confident that we can now manage Mimo’s coat a lot better ourselves but will also be booking some follow up appointments to help us along the way. Pauline is amazing... My cat Lil Bit was very shy and timid and wasn't the most accommodating cat to be groomed (she was very feisty at times). This didn't faze Pauline, she was caring, kind and patient and took time to ensure that Lil Bit was as calm as possible throughout the grooming. (She even bought cat treats). Lil Bit is looking beautiful and more importantly has no matts or knots. I would highly recommend Pauline to anyone wanting their cat groomed. Excellent service. Pauline was amazing. She totally put my very nervous cat Cookie at ease that he was licking her hand while Amazing arrive getting shaved. Pauline was so kind and gentle with my little old Daisy. Daisy is long-haired and had some matting. She is normally calm and well-behaved and I thought she would be the same for her grooming. Daisy wasn’t though and was a little ‘resistant’. Pauline was so kind and patient with her, and thought of different ways to approach each area to groom and the areas that needed de-matting.
