Avant garden

Where to start, I got married on 3/8/18 and I’m still reeling over how beautiful all the flowers were. I found Laura through our wedding coordinators, Honeysuckle and Castle, and initially met her at a wedding fayre at Kedleston Hall. After going to her beautiful display shop to discuss what I did and didn’t want, Laura asked me to send a few photos to illustrate what style I was after. Most of the photos I’d fallen in love with were from her Instagram account!! On the day of our wedding, Laura brought our flowers to our hotel and I must say, I was impressed when I saw the bridal bouquets, but nothing prepared me for seeing the pedestal, lantern and tied bouquets that dressed our ceremony room and marquee. I can only describe them as breathtaking and the smell coming from them was amazing. The colour scheme and choice of flowers used I left completely to Laura, just giving her an indication of my bridesmaid dress colours and I could not have been happier with the final result. I cannot recommend Avant Garden higher and would love to do my wedding all over again just for that initial view of my flowers. We also ordered two bouquets for the mothers which were completely different but equally as stunning! Laura, I cannot thank you enough. We chose Avant Garden for our wedding at Osmaston Park 25/05/2018. Laura and Scott were amazing! They provided a caring, professional and timely service. The flowers at our wedding, including the archway, lanterns, aisle ends and bouquets were absolutely stunning. They both really care about their work and the happiness they create. I wish there were more stars to choose as 5 stars is not enough to truly give Avant Garden what they deserve!!! Brides/Grooms stop looking for any other florist - book an appointment with Laura and her team NOW. ...you will not be disappointed. I loved our meetings (well tea chats) with Laura discussing what we wanted to get that wow factor at our wedding and she nailed it! Laura knows her stuff and listens to what you want. Laura, Scott and team provided the flowers to my wedding at Calke Abbey March 18. I just wanted to say thank you as our flowers were out of this world. The venue looked stunning and the colour and the quality of the flowers were unbelievable. My bouquet was better than I could have ever imagined and I am truly grateful. The whole process from start to finish was fantastic, Laura was able to help and support me into choosing the most perfect flowers for my venue. Well I don't know where to start!! Laura started off as my wedding florist and venue dresser and turned into my counsellor, who kept me sane! She understood my garbled ideas, that combined many different themes and was the main source of ensuring that my big day was exactly how I had envisioned it to be. Laura took time to see me in person and respond to vast amounts of emails questioning the silliest things, which put my mind at ease and relieved so much stress! I was specific that I really wanted peonies in my arrangements, however, the peony season was coming to an end at the time of my wedding. Laura spent time researching alternatives until she found a rose (I forget the name of that one!) that was so close in similarity to the peony that I was happy! But then Laura went above and beyond and managed to source some of the most beautiful peonies I have ever seen, which to me is a true act of kindness knowing how much I liked them, although I had settled for an alternative. I have had so many compliments about how beautiful the flowers were, and cannot believe how long they have lasted after the big day! When they arrived the morning of the wedding I burst into tears at how beautiful they were. Laura you are amazing at your job, and I wish you all the luck in the world for the future of your fabulous business. Amazing. Laura did my wedding flowers for my September wedding and I had so many compliments on my bouquet, the colours were stunning and exactly what I wanted. I originally had the wedding booked for May so we were working for that date during the first consultation, we had to push back to September and luckily Laura could do my new date, I was so relieved, we had to change some of the flowers as they would not be in season for the new date but Laura recommended some flowers that were just as lovely. When we had our second consultation we went back through the colours and she recommended some more flowers I’d never heard of that would compliment my colour scheme and they worked perfectly. She also supplied the flowers for the top of the cake and the table decorations which were a flower head under an upside down wine glass then a candle on top, Laura worked out how many I would need per table and made sure we had the right balance of the two coloured roses we chose. We had bride and bridesmaid bouquets, button holes and wrist corsages and everyone loved them, I couldn’t bear to see my bouquet die as I loved it so much I’ve dried it out so I can keep it as long as possible. So when telling Laura I wanted to make my wedding 'flower themed', her absolute passion for what she does and talent was just outstanding from start to finish! I never for a second doubted that the flowers wouldn't be anything more but out of this world, after seeing lots of Laura's and Scott's work previously. The result was just unbelievable!! The only thing I have to say about Laura and the rest of the team is that they are amazing!!! The did my flowers and decorations last week and everything looked stunning, way better then I ever imagined it to be. I had no idea what I wanted but Laura helped me with the ideas and just ran with them. Everything was perfect. We found out about Laura from my Brothers wedding a few years ago and their style is completely different to mine! So I can assure anyone that Laura and the rest of the gang can do what ever you want! We didn’t even see anyone else just went straight to them as I had already seen what they could do. Laura help me for two years planning my wedding and she was amazing when Me and my parents first ever met Laura and scott they couldn't do anoth for us two make sure our wedding was perfect. We booked Avant Garden for our wedding on 25th of March. From the very first consultation, Laura was friendly, attentive to our plans and very helpful with our lack of knowledge regarding flowers! We also hired some other things from Avant Garden, including table runners, a postbox and an iron archway. Laura made us feel very reassured throughout the whole run up to the wedding and was very quick to answer any emails or messages and kept us informed throughout the whole process. On the day itself, we were totally blown away by all of the work Avant Garden put in. The flowers for me and the bridal party were astounding and all delivered promptly and with a smile! The pew ends in church were beautiful and the archway at the reception was the perfect finishing touch to the whole reception room! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The bouquets, centrepieces, buttonholes and corsages were better than we ever imagined. The Autumn colours my daughter had asked for were personified in the rich, jewel tones picked out by Laura. They totally blew us away reducing my daughter and I to tears once we saw them. I meet the couple who run this amazing place yesterday.. I felt at easy talking to both Laura and Scott whilst on a Photoshoot they did the styling for and it was out of this world.
