About

I specialise in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project for Windows. I can deliver courses (either face-to-face, or remotely using Microsoft Teams or Zoom) to Advanced level. I can also teach VBA for Access and Excel.

I have developed Access databases from scratch and upgraded existing databases, both to client’s specifications. I also teach SQL using Access or SQL Server.

Having worked in the IT industry since 1987, and in IT training/consultancy since 1994, I went self-employed in July 2002, working as a freelance IT trainer and consultant. I set up my own company, "Avalon Computer Training Ltd." in February 2003.

My qualifications include Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Authorised Instructor, Microsoft Office Specialist, Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional. I am also a member of the British Computer Society.
