i was looking for kennels until i broke down in my car and parked up in a carpark in Galgate, while waiting for recovery a Heronwood van pulled up in front of me 2 large dogs ( 1 a german shepherd) in cages in the back 1 was removed by a large male and female and taken toward the canal footpath 10 mins later they came back and swapped dogs over (yanking 1 on the lead) they were literally gone for 5 mins and came back put the second dog back in and drove off if thats walking dogs no more than 10 min each what are they being paid for???

We bought Jenson from A&T training a couple of months ago and the after care has been non existent even though we were told we could contact them on any matter. After we got him home he started shaking his head really badly and we took him to our own vets for a check over. We were advised that his ears contained thick black wax and they cleaned them out for us. After contacting A&T Training we were advised he had been checked over by an independent vet before hand over and they would contact them and let us know-no contact at all!!! We were also advised that they would transfer the details over to us for his micro chip and when we checked he wasn’t even registered. Once again contacted them twice and still no one has rang us back. They seem very happy to take your money but then it ends there !!!! Megan did a superb job of training our 6 month old Goldie. The daily videos of her progress were really reassuring and gave us an idea of exactly what to do to set her up to succeed. The handover session was also very informative. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The facilities are v clean and well organised. A positive experience for all concerned. We adopted COCO (staffy cross) in Dec 2022. She is a good girl but she pulled the lead (quite a lot) and she was reactive towards dogs while in the lead. Once I got closer to the other dog she was fine but until that point, that few second were a nightmare. We contacted A&T for a 121 with Megan and within one session things improved a lot. She tough me how to work with Coco and how to stop her from this silly reactions. We finally decided to join the residential training as she needed more socialisation and we didn't have the knowledge to do it ourselves. After two weeks there with Megan the improvements has been very noticeable. Coco is not perfect but now all the instructions we got in the first session work 100% and she listens to you now. Depends of the dog she want to get close and have a sniff while before this was impossible. Walking is also waaaay better. When she tried to pull just by touching the lead and tell her to don't do it she just slow down. Megan did a great job, she was super sweet and kind with us. Things that you need to know: they help your dog with their issues but the rest is on you so, if they train them to stop or to do something and you just don't keep doing it, they will just go back to their old habits. It is a nice, clean place but your dog is going to do tones of outdoors, and be around other dog. Coco stank when we took her back and it is normal! I have seen comments saying that dogs were returned dirty and, what do you expect? is like leaving a child in a park for two weeks! Coco had also lost 2-3 kg and that is also normal. We are regular owners that take her for 1h nice walk twice a day. In the dog camp, she was doing tones of exercise daily, including running, so, we didn't find this odd. We desperately wanted a dog but didn’t have the expertise or time to spend training a puppy and knew that if we didn’t get this right we would have problems in the future and owning a dog may not turn out to be the pleasure we hoped. We are so glad we found A&T Trained dogs, we brought Jake home in January and he fitted into our family life and routines from day 1. He is a pleasure to take out and always gets comments on his good manners. He has a lovely temperament and is friends with everyone (people and dogs)he meets. A&T have also given us fantastic support during the first 3 months and that after care is invaluable. I would highly recommend letting A&T do the hard work and invest in a trained dog as you can’t put a price on months of stress with a puppy - worth every penny and we’re looking forward to many years of fun with Jake knowing that A&T are always on the other end of the phone to help if we need it . Our Black Lab Pup has been coming here since October for both Boarding when we are away and Doggy Day Care when work demands. The care he receives is excellent. We got Demetri, our German Shepherd from A and T 3 weeks ago. The whole experience with the company was a pleasure and Demetri himself is simply superb. He has integrated into our family life seamlessly. His obedience is excellent and he is already extremely loyal and protective of the family and house. Our two young girls of 10 and 7 adore him. We have had several German shepherds over the years from pups, however getting Demetri at two years old with the level of training and socialising he has from A and T, I would 100% recommend to anyone as the preferable option. Completely horrendous! PLEASE AVOID AND CONTACT ME PRIVATELY FOR MORE INFO AS CURRENTLY We are instructing a solicitor on our behalf to investigate this company. We bought our dog from here which was advertised on their site with a Birthdate, advertised as vaccinated, wormed and flead also highlighting the fact that that she was a full breed. (TBH did not care about this anyway however we kept getting told "you are paying for the fact she is a full pedigree breed which I thought was odd. Why keep mentioning that?) Anyway long story short, we bought her on the day as I couldn't resis not leaving there with a dog...one thing I noticed is they kept getting dogs out from their "kennels" we actually never saw where they were living/kept When partner mentioned this they said it was late and were not wanting to disturb the other dogs so had to bring them out one by one?? When going through payment you could see how disorganised they were as they tried to give us the wrong book for her then came out with they could t find her documents so these would be sent to us ASAP. WE WAITED AND WAITED AND THEY WERE NEVER SENT. STILL TILL THIS DAY..NOTHING. WHICH DELAYED US GETTING HER SEEN BY OUR VET AS WE WANTED TO SHOW THEM THE DOCUMENTS. When she was taken to our loyal trusted vet, they said she had worms! She was older than advertised (SO NOT 21 MONTHS THEY PUT HER AT 3 YEARS OLD) CONSISTENT WITH BEING BRED. THEY WERE USING HER TO BREED. SICK DISGUSTING COMPANY WHO CLAIMS TO PUT ANIMAL WELFARE FIRST . WHAT A JOKE!! the poor thing had had 3 litters whic our veg confirmed examining her. She was also slightly underweight..we did notice she had really bad stomach issues which we put down to her settling in but they said was consistent with a bad diet. Malnourished. Sickening. We again begged them for any documentation on her and not received one thing!They are a secret puppy farm breeding loads of dogs in awful conditions. Wr have a source that has confirmed this that volunteered there. Its all about the money. We have basically rescued her from awful conditions but paid a hefty price. The actual price we paid was way more than what her apparent breed sells for. And that's the other thing she wasn't even fully cocker spaniel. She's a mixed breed! I booked my German Shepherd dog in for 2 weeks behaviour training last month and what a waste of money!! She has come back far worse than she was before she went and I was shocked at the weight loss on her. I emailed my concerns and received a phone call from Fran who told me I would have a phone call from the trainer but it never happened As promised I was sent videos during the training but on reflection they were not addressing the problem and the handover was done in the ground of the kennels with dogs and people she knew so they was no reaction Dont waste your money here!!! Unprofessional would advise you go elsewhere. Aggressive van driver. (saw the reply, A van with your signage aggressively overtook me into a blind merge. Staff were brilliant with him (as benny can be difficult) so professional, the place is spotless I would highly recommend. We have been taking our 10 months old Alsatian cross to day care regularly and more recently he did a residential training. Jo and Alan have done a great job. Pulling and reactivity are no longer an issue, even in high pressure environments. We received regular updates whilst he was in training and also get regular follow ups to keep his training going. My experience with a and t trained dogs was terrible, I left my dog with them for 2 weeks training and they done absolutely nothing to help my dog he came back worse than before! !! He came back with cuts on his feet and underweight and also lied about how much they fed him I only left 14 days worth of food and they had him for 15 days and said he only just finished his food on the day I collected him.This was a complete waste of time and money, honestly they couldn’t pay me to have my dog again I would stay well away from a and t trained dogs!!! If I could leave less than one star I would. We booked in for the training and the boarding, my partner paid £1200 for two weeks of this service. The videos we found of their so called training could all be found in a YouTube video. Our Doberman returned with no change in his behaviour and upon collection he had wounds of BOTH paws (nail side up). We were told these were sustained from playing around the pond, how a dog sustains injuries from playing around a pond I’ll never know, let alone on the reverse side of his paws. He was also so skinny we could see his ribs. We paid £100 for 2 weeks of raw food and gave feeding instructions. When we proposed these issues we were robbed off with petty excuses and no apology. My families beautiful puppy died in daycare here Jan 2022 after an incident with another dog believed to be an a&t owned dog. Unfortunately this doggy daycare which is littered with cameras lost the CCTV on that day so we have no real idea what happened. Lancaster City council have done a comprehensive investigation and recently issued a warning to this place and it's owners over licencing breaches. Note that the owner/licenced operator is called Tarik Jayousi in case any similar names crop up as positive reviews! I would give less stars if i could! I have just cancelled my dogs boarding of 8 nights here, which has cost me £240, they have told me they cannot refund my card, and would have to put it onto my account with them! I explained my dog nor i would ever need to use their services, but i was again informed that they would have to put the money onto my account! There is no mention of this cancellation policy on their website nor in the consent form which they have, i printed a copy of the consent form out to read prior to signing , it is shocking to read, and one of the reasons i cancelled! So now i’m £240 down, due to this shoddy company, If i was you i’d save you and your pup the hassle and go elsewhere! More...

I would not recommend, we sent our 8 month old puppy to doggy day care and it was an awful experience. He was so stressed when we collected him we thought he was going to have a heart attack and he is not a nervous dog. We were promised pictures of him in doggy daycare but we never received them. We are leaving this review as we are absolutely horrified and heart broken to read, that in January, a 10 month old puppy died in their care, we sent our dog only a few weeks ago so they are obviously having issues with the service they provide so I would not recommend sending you dog there. We did not feel like our puppy was safe and we made a terrible mistake. Our puppy will never go to doggy daycare again. We would give minus stars if we could. More...
