I started Ashby Lloyd Mercer alongside my Estate Agency and Property Management business ( Harper & Tweedie Ltd) as I was finding it hard to get reliable contractors to undertake maintenance on the buildings we look after.
We now work alongside many reputable and fully insured contractors and have retained builders who can do anything from a clearing a blocked drain to building an extension.

How long have you been in business?
I started the founding business in 1999 alongside my Estate Agency and Management Company
What guarantee does your work come with?
7 Years on boiler installations. 1 year on all electrical work.
What do you love most about your job?
The people. Both the chaps I work with and the clients for whom we do work. I have met and made friends through this business and wouldn't change my job for anything. Except maybe a big lottery win!
What inspired you to start your own business?
On a personal and financial level it was to support my family after a divorce but basically I just love bricks and mortar. I enjoy transforming and fixing things and I revel in problem solving
